Al Porto

Lovely restaurant, great setting with amazing food and great service with a smile. Highly recommended, and will definitely be returning. The lobster ravioli and tiramisu was amazing!

We had a terrible meal at Al Porto unfortunately, we waited 30 minutes for a drink, our starters were forgotten and one persons food had a hair in. The only saving grace was that the whole food order was removed from the bill. The restaurant just looked far too busy for the number of staff who were working.

Lunch menu was very good, service excellent and informative, very enjoyable and in lovely surroundings with great views over the Marina. Would definitely recommend a visit....

Very warm welcome the environment is very romantic with great view of the marina and the price is very reasonable Food great staff great will definitely be back

The food was just OK nothing special. I had Mixed Seafood Linguine and the pasta was great ... the sauce had absolutely zero seafood flavour. My partner had meatballs and the sauce was exactly the same. Shame really because it has great ambience and the staff are very pleasant.

We had great expectations for this restaurant after reading previous reviews. First impressions were good in spite of one of our party with mobility problems having problems with the stairs. We were greeted warmly and attentively and were soon enjoying our wine and our first courses. Apart from the excess use of chilli in the crab the starters were fine. The main courses however were very disappointing. The fillet steak was decidedly tough and the duck breasts had a rubbery texture. Added to this we were not informed that the potatoes were an added extra and so after discovering this we were half way through our meal when these eventually appeared. The tiramisu was divine but the strawberry cheesecake was heavy and not very good. After we had complained the manager was very apologetic and gave us a complementary bottle of wine.

Amazing place 1st class service, rachel was great and we had a amazing view over the Maria, we also got to meet the chef, well done it’s a most if your in hull 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Overrated and over priced. The location's nice, the atmosphere's good and so is the service. However, the food just isn't that good and, considering the premium charged over a nearby chain Italian restaurant, it should have been exceptional. Probably won't bother going back.

Great food but chaotic service. Desserts arrived half an hour apart...had to chase for attention. Different waiters attended...need one waiter per service area...will give it another try as food was good.

Great food and service. Made my husbands birthday very special. Staff even secured my car window to drive home as it had been broken into whilst in the restaurant. Many thanks again.

Great food and atmosphere, all the staff were friendly but due to (I assume) a couple of large parties the service did suffer towards the end of the evening.

We had our work meal here last night (9th April). There were 7 of us and we had a really good experience. The waiter was fab.

Probably the best Italian restaurant in the Hull/East Riding area. Very nice and attentive staff. Excellent service and very good cuisine. Good venue for family groups and created a wonderful atmosphere for a Mother's Day lunch. I would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely visit again.

The personnel was very friendly but the food not very tasty. The wine left me and my friend with a headache the following day (no we did not exceed!).

Staff were extremely friendly; restaurant got quite busy but service still very efficient. Food was very good - reasonably good value for money (£65 - lunch for 2 people).

Brilliant night from start to finish. We found this restaurant through trip advisor as we are not from the area. We had the warmest of welcome on arrival which continued throughout the night. Their Parma violet gin cocktail was fabulous! Succulent scallops for me and spicy sausage pasta for my husband. Fantastic starters. Main course of fillet steak for me and a creamy chicken dish for him. Presentation and flavour were 10 out of 10 on every course. So full after the strawberry cheesecake, that s taxi was ordered for us, as attempting to walk would have been futile!!!! When we are back in Hull, we will definitely be coming back. Well done Al Porto, we think this was possibly the best meal and dining experience we have had in a very long time. You should be proud.

We were a party of 6 in Hull just for the weekend so chose and booked Al Porto online. The lady who greeted us let us know they had just seated a large party so the kitchen were very busy and it might take a bit longer than usual for our starters which was fine and we appreciated her honesty. We all really enjoyed our food, the steaks were very well cooked and huge! Staff were very efficient and helpful. We had a great night 👍

We were informed on the night that they had staff problems so expected a long wait, however food was nice and Lauren the waitress was great!!!!

Fantastic meal service was really good. Food was really good. Meatballs for main meal was the best I have had and my husband duck bread was really good.
