Amadora is a really sweet, friendly Italian restaurant on one of Richmond's picturesque lanes. Delicious bruschetta, fresh bread and pasta and red wine! Plus a free Limoncello to finish. Lovely!
It was a bit chaotic - the waitress had walked out, the chef was serving tables and despite having a reservation we got put upstairs as there were no free tables in the main restaurant (we were the only people up there after a family walked out.) the drinks we ordered weren't available as the weekly order hadn't come in and the food was ok but nothing amazing. The restaurant has a lot of potential but it needs organising better, better quality of food and a lick of paint. That said the lady who was working there on sat was dealing with all of these challenges very well and was trying her best.
Excellent atmosphere, food and service. I would thoroughly recommend it especially as a pre-theatre venue. My sister who is vegetarian found plenty to choose from. Will definitely make a return visit.
Excellent food and service in a lovely decorated restaurant. Pizza was fab and went well with the lovely house red. We all enjoyed our time there.
Although the restaurant appeared to be somewhat chaotic, due to the narrow isle and the enthusiastic staff, it was actually what added to its charm. The food was good, wine excellent and all at a very reasonable price We will definitely visit again.
The restaurant was a little small, but the food and service were first class. The location was ideal for the night that we planned, We were treated with warmth and humour. A great place.
We felt the food was reasonable, but overpriced in the case of the main dishes. Was quite a squeeze to fit into my seat (I'm not overweight btw), and we weren't sure the manager was really telling us the truth on certain things we asked. He seemed to be fobbing us off with excuses which left us feeling we wouldn't come again.
Cosy restaurant with typical italian menu. Food well cooked and tasty. Speedy service which was perfect for a pre theatre supper. Would certainly go again
Polite, friendly service, but the cooking was below average and the restaurant is tired. It really all felt like it lacks any love or passion.
Excellent food; very attentive staff. Highly recommended for those who like good quality Italian food. Although it was very quiet when we visited, I would recommend booking in advance to ensure you get a table.
Cosy and charming restaurant. Our server, we were advised, had only been there 1 week... what a find! Really friendly, attentive and well informed. Food was delicious - went with my 3 besties, promised new owner I would be bringing along the other half next time. Little treasure of a restaurant!! Well done new owner!!
