We think it’s fairly safe to say, the vast majority of people’s hearts tend to skip a beat when the idea of heading out to an Italian restaurant comes up. And when that said restaurant happens to be Amalia Italian in Liverpool, well, we can barely contain ourselves. This cosy and inviting restaurant in the heart of the uber cool Ropewalks, serves up dishes you’ll really want to be getting involved with sooner, rather than later. We’re talking pizzas brimming with loads of tasty toppings like pepperoni, peppers, creamy mozzarella and smoked ham, as well as steak, fish and chicken mains cooked to absolute perfection that would make any nonna, proud as punch. You’ll find Amalia Italian on Campbell Square, where you’ll be wanting to arrive with a reservation, as this is well and truly, a Liverpudlian favourite!
Excellent food, with a nice and relaxed atmosphere. With the added bonus of a tastecard discount, I would definitely recommend Amalia as a great place to dine.
Ideal for families the Food was lovely with a good menu choice, has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly., I would recommend this restaurant.
7 adults and a baby booked in for a Sunday afternoon. Great pizza and pasta and the lunch menu is a bargain! Service was fab too.
Food, wine and company fantastic. Treated really well from start to finish as always. Highly recommend Amalia as it’s great value for money. We will return.
Busy lively Italian restaurant. Staff were polite and the service was superb even though they were fully booked and running a little late with bookings. We were welcomed and offered to relax in their waiting area or at the bar.Once seated the service was first class both with ordering and our meals arriving. The food was fresh delicous and there was plenty of if. I had musels to start that arrived in their own little pot which were cooked to perfection. Followed by the homemade italian fish stew with a silky flavoursome sauce. My only negative comment would be that they had run out of decaf coffee to finish off my meal. The toilets were clean with the restaurant at full capasity I was rather impressed with the high standards of hygiene they offered. I shall definatley return its such a super restaurant. A reasonably priced gem of an Itailian worth a visit.
Great place mine and my girlfriends favourite Italian! While eating there for her birthday they gave a homeless man sleeping outside across the courtyard a hot drink and a pizza with some extra food in a bag! Was impressed by this kind act. Of course would recommend and done again, we both love it here!
Lovely New Year’s Eve meal. Staff lovely. Great atmosphere. No overinflated holiday prices ! They managed to fit in 2 extra guests on our table at short notice. Will return!
Amazing food and the staff are very friendly, I would definitely recommend going here and I'm yet to try the calzone challenge that I've heard all about
Great atmosphere throughout the restaurant. Attentive servers- never found ourselves awkwardly waiting for attention or the bill and lovely food and drinks, would definitely recommend this place.
Service was fab - fast and efficient, even though it was really busy. The Food was gorgeous; my sea bass spaghetti didn’t even touch the sides, and my husbands pizza looked delicious
