Amalia Italian

We enjoyed our first visit to Amalia and probably would return, sadly my pasta was a little undercooked but I did not return my meal as we were going on to a show so did not have time to wait around. The restaurant temperature was a bit cool so maybe if we go again an additional layer of clothing would be needed.

Food was very nice and staff were quick ,although at sometimes felt a little too rushed , but overall a very good time , would definitely go again

We arrived early but were soon seated. The staff were both warm and welcoming and professional. The food was outstanding. I would definitely go back and have spent time waxing lyrically to all my friends.

We had seen Amalia on a previous visit but not eaten there. We did this time and we were not disappointed. Lovely food, service was great and the place was busy with locals. (always a good sign) Next trip to Liverpool will include Amalia

Went to Amalia as a pre-concert meal. Service was mega slow. It took an hour and ten minutes to get our meal which wasn't great when it arrived. We would normally have a dessert but the service was so slow that we didn't have time. Won't be returning. Gone right down hill since our last visit.

My starter was 3 chicken goujons on a bed of mayo. Nothing else. They arrived burnt on the outside but cold inside. I sent them back. 3 more arrived placed on the same bed of mayo. They didn't use fresh mayo. They were also cold. After several attempts to attract the attention of a waiter. Which occurred the first time as well. A barmaid came over. She tried to appologise and offer me another starter. I refused and we left. Awful service and awful food. Will never go there again or recommend the place.

Lovely service! We had the meerkat movies voucher, we ordered two carbonara and it was delicious we were served but a fantastic girl!!

Visited with a fidgety 5 year old and 2 year old twins ( I know!) on Easter Saturday. Had booked a large table and high chairs which weren't ready, however just a short wait in a comfy area with a toy car in it- a big hit with the children. Lovely food all freshly cooked, patient waiters, very good value lunch specials. They also accepted The Independent Liverpool card, so 20% off the bill, result!! Oh, and they're not cash only now, phew. My family from London can't wait to come back.

Fantastic in every way! Great service, really friendly staff and the food was exceptional. Really would recommend this to anyone whether for a single course or a full three-course meal.

I just love this place, always busy, happy friendly staff, excellent fresh food. There really is no reason not to go here. Try it? You will go back again and again. You can eat here any time of the day or evening and it its always consistiently great. A real gem in the crown of dining in Liverpool. See you again soon

Food was nice pity we had a loud table of 8 behind us that spoilt our evening management were not bothered they didn't attempt to quieten them down just 1 gobby bloke that wanted attention

I love this place! Mid saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing and the food was flowing. Calamari to start and then Ribs and Pizza to follow all very highly recommended. The staff are so welcoming and helpful and great fun. Very highly recommended.

Service was a poor considering it wasn't a busy time. when my pizza arrived it was over cooked, crust was hard. Quite disappointed if I'm honest.

Was a busy evening and we live coming to Amalia. But this time it wasn't a pleasant experience. We Waited 40 mins for our food to arrive and then it was only the kids, it took another 10 mins for ours to arrive. Then my partners meal (meatball calzone) ended up being a chicken calzone. Couldn't grab a member of staff to say anything and we had waited so long she just ate it. When we finally ordered more drinks, 30 mins later they still hadn't arrived... Still didn't arrive by the time we was laying the bill. Always had lovely food and great service here, but the last 2 times we've been here the service has gotten worse and worse. The other meals we ordered were lovely (garlic mayo seems quite oily and is mega garlicky). My other half does not want to return again, but I am willing to give it another shot in the future to see if they can improve.

Lovely food, friendly staff, music too loud, a bit noisy for conversation but good atmosphere. Calzone eating challenge impossible, but will feed you for the next week.

Ribs are now my favourite dish. Love Amalia, food 10/10, staff 11/10. Thank you and see you again very soon. Highly recommended for everyone from single diner to dinner parties such a down to earth great food place. Feel so welcome every time

Service was a little slow, and in each of the courses one meal came out considerably later than all the others. To be honest we all agreed food was average at best. We probably won't return, which is a shame as have enjoyed it previously.
