Ametsa

This is a very odd place, because the food is very good, and it is a beautifully designed space, but on a Saturday evening, as other reviewers have noted, it is half empty. The problem is really with the service. It's not that there weren't enough waiters - they seemed to outnumber the diners - but they just got it wrong. From the initial greeting which was professional and brusque, when what we wanted was warm and welcoming, to the waitress who insisted in talking us through the food menu before letting us settle and asking if we wanted a drink. It is a Spanish and indeed a Basque restaurant, but I was met with blank incomprehension when I asked if they had olives, or Pintxos. This place is close to being really great, except that in spite of many previous reviews referencing the poor service, they really haven't got it sorted.

Amazing food. Exceptional service. We went for the tasting menu, my fiancé had the pairing wines too great portion size and knowledge on each. It was my fiancé birthday and they surprised him with a dish at the end.

This michelin star restaurant is an incredible experience. Small inside but adds to the atmosphere, the service from the staff is hands down the best service I have ever experienced. The food is amazing, every little element has been careful thought about and cooked and it comes across when eating. It's expensive but if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion then go for Amesta!

An outstanding creative restaurant with high-quality food and service. The wine pairing was good too. I especially love the desserts of the tasting menu because it is really different and carefully cooked. First time there and best experience!

I have tried 3 staters. The best was Fois with Corn. As for the main dish Ox and Cork was delicious. At the end I had Orange toast. It was fantastic!

Excellent food but service is a bit slow over the lunch period. They forgot about us for about 20 mins before we got our coffee at the end of the meal.

It was a great experience. The menu was very tasting and the service simply perfect. They explain you every plate and you can enjoy the experience.

My visit last week was impeccable. I am impressed with the services and my expectation after reading some reviews were exceeded by the genuine care and of course the delicious and impressive food presentation. I will be back!
