A very enjoyable evening in a nice relaxed and atmospheric environment

We really enjoyed are visit the staff were very polite and did not rush you I was meeting old friends and wanted to have a good natty and not be rushed and that was exactly what we had I would recommend this restaurant.

Service was slow, forgot to bring a drink forgot the sweet menu when asked for. Didn’t seat us for ages, ok it was busy but heard same excuse for a few people whilst stood at bar, your table be a couple minutes as people just paying bill??? That was said to me, a party of 8 that arrived a few minutes after me, a couple who came in and hadn’t booked them another party of 4? Only 1 woman on bar when place busy waited ages for drink when arrived.

Lovely meal and great service as usual. Both had steak and it was cooked to perfection.

Food when it arrived was good. Slow service and omission of some ordered dinks spoiled the experience. Will go again. They were very busy and not enough staff.

Easy to reserve on line. Warm welcome on arrival. Friendly barstaff. Good food with a reasonably priced menu. Good service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Not been here for a while. But received good service, garlic bread pizza starter was a bit dry and bland but overall food was good and the tiramisu was delicious!

Amazing food, attentive staff, desserts to die for, husband enjoyed the best affagato ever. Beautiful restaurant. Booked a romantic table for 2 using the special request box on the online booking, this wasn't done, we were given the first table at the top of the stairs, next to a family table, lots of foot traffic passing us, An unstable floorboard wobbles the table every time someone walks past.

Good food at reasonable prices, staff were very friendly and we had an enjoyable experience, we definitely will be going back to Ancora again!!! (Ancora)

Lovely food and lovely staff catering for your needs . Ensuring you have a great experience. only negative, they forgot the veg and potatoes until reminded . However when they arrived they were beautiful

I have yet to have a bad meal here, nice ambiance, good food, excellent service, reasonbly priced and it is worth a try. I will definitely be visiting again

Very basic table layout, a candle and tablecloth would have been nice to help with the ambience. A lovely restaurant, food and staff were very good, just a pity though like I say the table could have been more appealing.

Very pleasant experience. Very accommodating. We all enjoyed it. Garlic bread is very tasty. Good selection of pasta and pizza. Would definitely recommend and we will return

Very authentic and family ran restaurant. 2 large parties is the same section were served well and were not distruptive the way the room was laid out. Very good value, definitely return again.

Lovely menu, fabulous food and excellent service! Super location too! The place was full of Christmas parties but you wouldn’t know it unless you saw it. The staff were so attentive- I would thoroughly recommend Ancora!
