There are great curry houses to be found up and down the length of Britain, and the North West is home to some of the very top examples of the genre. Indian restaurants in Wigan are numerous and in Hindley, the name of the curry game is Anishas on Atherton Road. Their menu includes all the classics, from tandoori fresh kebabs and pakoras, samosas and puris to start to mild dishes such as korma, passanda and bhuna to fiery favourites like vindaloo, madras and rogan josh. What we’d recommend, however, is one of the house signature dishes, such as the Sylheti Rana, with king prawns, ginger and garlic, a staple of the Sylhet region of Bangladesh, or the balti zal zal, cooked dry with pickled naga chillies, minced meat, red peppers and coriander. These are only a few of the specialities on offer, and the only way to taste them all is to book a table, gather your family and friends and then take a trip to Wigan, Atherton Road in Hindley and Anishas.
Extensive menu of fantastic tasty food, and great service from all the staff, and all at reasonable prices, make this a ' must visit' place to eat. 10 out of 10 !!!
