An amalgamation of the Sanskrit words for food or earth (‘Anna’) and world (‘Loka’), Anna-Loka is famous for being Cardiff’s first and only vegan cafe, but you don’t have to be one to enjoy what’s on offer. Adding to the diversity in cuisines along Albany Road in Plasnewydd is Anna-Loka’s great-tasting menu of salads, wraps and burgers, all made without dairy and meat. Diners with more sensitive needs will appreciate being able to customise their orders to gluten- and allium-free options. The cafe is also known for its kombucha drinks, so grab a freshly made one to complete your meal. Eating healthy has never been easier, but don’t forget to reserve a table for your next visit!
Great location and good atmosphere as well as concept behind. Friendly owner, although the service staff could be a bit more friendly and time-efficient. Good option for vegans in Wales.
