Wales might only be a small country, but the Welsh are experts in spreading themselves far and wide around the world. Whether it be the United States, Australia and New Zealand or even the brave souls at the tip of the world in Argentina, the Welsh get everywhere, and now in the centre of Cardiff, the trend has been reversed. Around the World Bar and Lounge brings an international flavour to the city centre, with a menu that showcases classic dishes from, well, around the world. Book a table and take a trip to Stadium Plaza – right between the central train station and the Principality Stadium – to taste the whole world from the Welsh capital.
Around the World Bar and Lounge might be in Cardiff, but a quick scan of the menu is a veritable Phileas Fogg world tour. While you are sat in the heart of the Welsh capital – directly between Principality Stadium and Cardiff Central train station – you will be transported around the globe, and indeed, it is up to us to be the Passepartout that leads you along the culinary way. Begin your meal in the US and Mexico, with BBQ Pulled Pork nachos or beef chilli nachos, before moving onto one of the other international specialities on offer.
From France, one can try moules frites and chevre chaud goats’ cheese salad, and from Italy come baked meatballs in tomato sauce, as well as a huge range of pizzas. The pizzas themselves aren’t limited to the bel paese, with Hawaiian and fajita chicken options alongside the more traditional salami, and there are other American favourites to boot, such as buttermilk fried chicken and plenty of burgers to go around. We could go on all day, but instead we’ll simply invite you to take the trip to Around the World Bar and Lounge in the heart of Cardiff city centre.
