Since the first restaurant opened twenty years ago, Fat Boys has expanded across London, where they’re known throughout the city for their sublime Thai cuisine. Located on Upper Richmond Road West, Fat Boys’ East Sheen restaurant is where locals can get their fix of authentic Thai cuisine, dished up in a stylish setting with traditional Thai decor combined with chic modern furniture. Try some tod man pla (deep-fried fish mixed with mild curry paste and long green beans, served with sweet chilli sauce), tuck in to a traditional Thai green curry or some pad thai or satisfy your sweet tooth with the Thai pancakes and ice cream. Just remember to book a table at Fat Boys in advance to avoid having to wait!
We returned to Asiatique on a cold Sunday evening in February, so it was less busy than usual. Our meal choice was the Mixed Starter for 2, which has 4 Thai specialities per person, and Kor Moo Yang which is char grilled pork loin with mixed vegetables and spicy sauces. All was very fresh and tasty. Service was, as usual, excellent.
The food was up to the usual excellent standard, with the vegetables being fresh and crisp. Although the staff were not the ones we are used to, they were equally welcoming and attentive. We were, as usual, very satisfied.
This was our third visit over a two month period. The food and the service remain excellent. All the ingredients are very fresh, and the taste of the food is therefore very good.
