Tiny atmospheric restaurant suitable for bruschetta, Italian wine etc before a theatre visit. Thoroughly enjoyable, lovely staff. We enjoyed little plates of bruschetta with ham and cheeses. Delicious an ivy and butter soldiers!

food was delicious out of this world. wine was great too. Two downsides for me the music was so loud you could not hear each other speak, and the lighting was turned down so low that I had to get my phone torch to read the menu !

Walked past this restaurant many times visiting London and always wanted to go there. Not disappointed, fabulous tapas style Italian food, dishes that you can order as you fancy. Perfect pre-theatre restaurant!

Nice setting and ambiance, and attentive staff. Menu (particularly desert) a little limited though - particularly vegetarian options. Would go there again for wine and light snacks.

Food was nice and it has a good casual atmosphere, however service was slow and we didn't particularly feel looked after. Everything needed to be requested more than once and it was frustrating to see the staff just stood chatting and we had to sit and wait. This is next to several theatres, so speed should be paramount for restaurants with this location.

Lovely restaurant, really welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere and the food was delicious. Another nice touch is that still and sparkling water is free. Definitely recommend.

Cosy venue with warm personal service. The wine is amazing and the snacks are top notch. A great independent place in an area full of chain restaurants.

Wonderful crostini, cocktails, wine and tiramisu. My friend and I arrived early but were able to sit and enjoy drinks and food before going over the road to the Theatre Royal. Lovely ambience, service and delicious food and drink.

Friendly, food was lovely. Perfect for a leisurely aperitivo before an evening out or possibly for an extended drink. Venue is small but for me this just added to the cosy feel and charm.

Great place to meet up with friends ! The interior was very smart and had a cosy feel. We had a fantastic waitress who was informative and very helpful and we loved the salamis, cheeses and bruschettas we ordered. We had 2 bottles of lovely Gavi wine which was very reasonable. Great location close to Covent Garden but relaxed and not too frantic. We will definitely be returning soon.

Ideal location having just seen the fabulous show 42nd Street. Having booked a table we were greeted warmly and taken to a table downstairs (our request). This was our first visit , however the staff were very helpful in describing the menu. Our Salmon dish was excellent followed by a very Italian style Tiramisu all washed down with a reasonably priced Pinot Grigio. All in all a very enjoyable experience at an affordable cost. Thanks Mike W

Fabulous food and service! The atmosphere in the bar is buzzy and vibrant and the downstairs where we ate was quieter and cosy which was lovely as we could actually have a conversation without yelling at each other! We had to wait in the bar for 5 minutes as the table wasn’t quite ready - not a problem at all for us but we were presented with a complimentary glass of Prosecco to compensate! What a lovely touch! The food was excellent and the cheese board, fantastic. We had a wonderful bottle of Primitivo. I’ve worked in London for years so why haven’t I discovered this little gem before?! Can’t wait to return!

Augustus Harris is in the perfect spot for a quick bite after a show being just opposite the Theatre Royal. We had just enough time to pop in and enjoy a cheese board for supper. Cheese, wine and staff all excellent

The room we ate in was in the basement with no windows. The food was tapas style, mostly on bread - some delicious, some ok. Quite expensive for what we got, but service was excellent and the waiting staff very cheerful and friendly.

Excellent food, service the lot. I've been here a few times and the owner, Tony, is just lovely. He kept popping down to say hello and even handmade my friend (birthday) a flower from tissue paper. They're also keen on their wines and we tried the new Montepulciano which was fabulous.

Owner Tony is great as was Angus the bartender. We have been here before and it continues to be such a nice place to have either drinks or a light picky dinner
