The latest in a wave of Latin American eateries springing up all over London comes in the form of a sophisticated yet understated small plates restaurant and bar at Leicester Square. Situated on the ground floor of the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Leicester Square Kitchen is all about modern Mexican and Peruvian cuisine made for sharing in its sophisticated yet understated space, which includes a spacious terrace where you can dine in fine weather.
Among Leicester Square Kitchen’s signature dishes is the Mayan-spiced marinated chicken ensalada, which comes flavoured with cashews, black lime and sesame oil – showcasing inspiration drawn from Mexico. For something heavy on Peruvian influence, you’ll want to try the Pisco-glazed smoked paprika ribs and lime, slow-grilled over hot charcoal Robata-style. Surprise your taste buds when you reach for the desserts; it’s hard to go wrong with the refreshing flavours of coconut, guava and mango. Last but not least, the cocktails at Leicester Square Kitchen don’t shy away from reflecting their regional roots either, making them perfect for pairing with your meal. Get down to this Leicester Square gem in central London for a culinary experience that comes second to none. Before you do that, however, we highly recommend that you make a reservation.
Really good tapas food, and friendly, attentive service from staff. As it is tapas some of the portions are small for the price, but overall would return.
