This really is an excellent restaurant with possibly the best quality food, service and atmosphere of anywhere in Wolverhampton - certainly it's the best value for money. Noisy when we first arrived as there was a large boisterous party, but they finished quickly and the atmosphere returned to the quiet intimate feel which we like for a dinner for two and Banks do so well!
Drunk man in bar tried to buy me a drink and then sat on my table while eating then he went back and sat on the bar stools fell off them then he fell asleep on the floor police were called wrong place wrong time did spoil my experience
We had a meal before Wolves match. Excellent quality and service.

This cosy restaurant is spread over two floors and proudly serves British classics alongside European-inspired dishes cooked to perfection. Meaning, it’s the perfect choice from lunch, dinner or afternoon tea – which requires an advanced booking. Speaking of, the afternoon tea consists of delicious finger sandwiches filled with roast beef and red onion marmalade and Somerset brie and cranberry sauce; a diverse selection of cakes and pastries as well as a choice of tea or wine. Delicious, don’t you think?! Chapel Ash locals can’t get enough of it and neither can we.
For something a little heartier, the Sunday roast with all the trimmings is a must-try at Banks Bistro, while the a la carte menu includes dishes such as crispy fried pork belly and baked king scallops to start and mains like the four-pin rack of lamb served with potato gratin and vegetables with a mint and redcurrant jus. It’s heavenly! For those with a sweet tooth, be sure to keep an eye out for the dark chocolate tart topped with coconut chantilly cream and mixed berries – need we say more?
