Customer service and quality of food is spot on every single time I go. There was not enough keema in my naan and it was replaced immediately. The decor of the restaurant is also very appealing. Customer for life.

The food was good, so was the service, had to ask twice for a jug of water. But we will defiantly be going again soon.

The food was poor quality and not representative as shown on the website. It was a disappointment. We have eaten in many Indian restaurants and I also cook the good regularly therefore we know what to expect from a good venue.

Our first visit to Basmati was very enjoyable. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the waiting staff were very helpful and pleasant. The food was very good. We had a lovely meal and will definitely be back.

Unfortnately I got my main course before my accompaniment as the waiter didnt listen when I said a 'well done, Peshwari Naan and the server then argued with me about it. He also failed to ring a taxi for us when we asked him to, will not return to this place nor reccommend

Not an authentic Indian restaurant. No depth to the curry, no quality to the construction. Nice environment, good service and prices OK. Wouldn't go back.

Great food, great Indian restaurant --have eaten there on many occasions across the years and have never had a bad meal ..I would really recommend Basmati, Locks Heath

The food is good and the service pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is nicely proportioned and has a nice atmosphere. There is a large car park adjacent.

The service and quality of food was exceptional. Having lived in the area for 20 years and walking past Basmati 2 or 3 times a week, how have we never discovered this little gem earlier? We'll definitely be returning, and given that every table was full, we'll be using Quandoo to make sure we get a seat.

Easy to reserve online and a great night out with friends - good service and great food. All at a good price too. We will be back again and again.

Excellent value Sunday evening meal, friendly service and nice ambience. Would recommend highly! Athanu chicken from the main course menu was particularly good and they also do a fine lamb tikka starter.

Basmati serve great food in a very relaxed atmosphere and have very attentive service all at reasonable prices. Just what we wanted for a local night out with friends.

Friendly service at the right pace. Young waiter struggled understanding my friends accent but was good humoured, and happy to be corrected. Food was really tasty, accurate chilli/spice heat ratings on menu, and served at good temperature i.e.. was hot. Mains portion size fine for smaller appetites but larger/ hungrier guests may need a starter or extra sides . Dessert was a bit disappointing.
