Went on mother’s day and I can honestly say it’s the best carvery I’ve ever had, lots of dishes and so tasty! You also get so much meat and could go back for unlimited food, but was so full only managed 1 plate! It was a bit expensive but most probably due to Mother’s Day. Will definitely go back. Yum 😋

We were escorted straight away to our table, which was very nice. Ample space for 6 adults. Staff were extremely attentive with our orders for drinks. Gloves on removing glassware for the table. Food excellent, was accommodated being gluten free with the chef making special Yorkshire for me. I can’t fault the place one iota - a fabulous lunch for my family & Mother. I would recommend the place to anyone, brilliant on all fronts. Haven’t been there for years but will be back very soon. Lovely food & staff are a credit to the business, they’ll all bring return customers. Thank you for a great Sunday lunch 😊

We were welcomed on arrival, food was served quickly and was beautiful. I would recommend The Bell Inn to friends and family. The cost is fairly expensive but worth it for celebration times. We would certainly go back.

Lovely setting for lovely food. Great service, really looked after us. The special burgers were great meaty homemade affairs. The buffet was good quality too. Many thanks.

We were disappointed that it wasn’t “fish night” as advertised. This is apparently to start next month. Food was ok. Ambience could be improved with warmer tone lighting and candles.

Good food, excellent service. Traditional decoration which might not be to everyone’s taste. The Sunday carvery was great with good choice and plenty of it.

The food was exceptional and the service was impeccable. Not cheap but well worth the cost. The only negative was there were no other diners in the dining room. There were a few people in the bar area eating though. Also I feel it could do with new decor as a bit dated. Will definitely return and recommend to my friends.

menu choices limited, service good, but food did not reach our expectations for the price, not somewhere we would visit again, place was empty apart from us, found this disconcerting being saturday evening, maybe others felt the same as us ?

If you are going to charge 5* prices you need to give 5* service. Needs linen, , decent cutlery, proper lighting, bottles opened, tables secure, etc.

Good varied menu. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and was very tasty, all nice,y presented. Did feel that bread could be offered while waiting for the starter, otherwise what is the purpose of the side plate and knife! Very friendly service and the chef came out at least three times to check on customer satisfaction-a nice touch.

Made very welcome, on arrival, the Bell is no more than twenty minuets from where we live , I booked a a table for Two for Affternoon " High tea " for a surprise birthday present for my wife . We were both inprested with the excelant service, the food was really well prepared and more than enough for the two of us ,. a really nice touch was that the chef took the time to come and explained the contents of the beautiful pastries. It was a nice afternoon in a well run establishment . Will defiantly go again for a meal from a great looking menu., must also mention how impressed i was with cleanliness of the venue .

Helpful and friendly staff were quick to take order and bring drinks. I had steak pie and chips, hubby had burrito special and 17month old daughter ate pits and pieces from the buffet. We all enjoyed our meals very much.

Set in the quaint village surroundings you find a picture postcard pub. Once inside your greeted like the favourite aunt you don't see that often (we all have one I'm sure). The atmosphere, food, drink and staff are all as equally fabulous as the next. On initial sight of prices I thought the Bell was very reasonable then once the food was presented at my table, the portions told me the price was more than reasonable though. For a quick bite, a romantic meal or a Sunday carvery, you'll be hard pressed to find a better establishment.

Very limited menu for a Friday lunch time venue. . Booked for 4 people for1pm - only 2 hot meat choices of main course and these were cold. Also plates where cold. Rice & vegetables offered was so small when 2 people took a portion there was hardly any for the other 2 people. No one came to check food levels and replenish the buffet. Very disappointing - will not go there again.
