A haven for aficionados of Italian cuisine, Bella Vita is a charming Italian restaurant located on Botley Road in North Baddesley. With its mouthwatering menu of authentic Italian dishes and its stylish setting, diners can experience a piece of the beautiful life at Southampton’s Bella Vita. Whet your appetite with some antipasti like the calamari fritti, before moving on to some pizza, pasta or another Italian favourite like the vitello saltimbocca alla romana (escalopes of veal wrapped in parma ham with fresh sage and a white wine sauce, served with vegetables and potatoes). For the complete experience, round of your meal with a decadent dessert like the tiramisu – bellissimo!
Superb meal, lots of choice on the menu, service excellent, excellent presentation and decent quantities! Have been several times and it never fails to disappoint.
Tasty food and a lovely atmosphere for a 'chatty' all girls lunch. I have also visited in the evening with my husband and we will certainly be coming again. I love pasta, my husband prefers steaks, my sister-in law loves fish - here they cater for all tastes.
The food was wonderful and the waiter was great nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to a return visit and taking family with us.
Great fresh food, which was reasonably priced and with plenty of choice. Service was friendly, professional and not rushed in a nice restaurant and would return again.
Excellent food as always. One small thing marred our lunch. We ordered a bottle of red and I asked for the Sicilian which was first on the wine list priced at £15.75 which we thought was very reasonable. When we received the bill we were charged £22.+. I suppose I wasn't exact enough in my ordering but we thought the waiter might have queried which Sicilian wine we wanted. Just a very small thing but it didn't sit well with the four of us!
The restaurant itself is very nice and we all really enjoyed our food (4 adults & 2 children), it was very reasonably priced and I only knocked off one point as the staff were not very friendly, although they were not in any way rude or unprofessional. There was no separate menu for the children, instead the pasta dishes and pizzas came in child portions/prices, although they were huge. We would definitely go again if visiting the area.
The food and service was very good with reasonable prices. The only negative thing was that the atmosphere wasn't very good, the restaurant wasn't very full and it could have looked more festive, I only saw a few strips of tinsel hanging up. The room itself was lovely and with a few more decorations and a tree, the atmosphere for this time of year could have greatly improved. Otherwise, a lovely meal spent with a friend who I hadn't seen for a long time, so a very pleasant evening.
A lovely restaurant where the food is divine. I asked to alter my starter slightly, the waitress took her time to explain the menu, nothing was too much trouble. I had Bruschetta, the Lamb Shank and The Banoffee Pie, it was all gorgeous! I’ve been there a number of times and will certainly be going back.
The visit to Bella Vita was absolutely amazing. The staff were very helpful and made us feel very relaxed, and the food was absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and our waitress was only too happy to take photos for my partner and myself. We will definitely visit again. Many thanks, Dave.
The food was generally ok however the cheese garlic bread was over cooked and therefore hard and crispy. Service wasn’t great had to ask staff to tak a drinks order then our food order and we had to get the pudding menu ourselves to look at. Thought it was cheeky that they th n automatically added a £12 service charge. Hop fully this is t their. Kemal service as the food was tasty and the atmosphere good
