One of the best meals we ever had. We dined at various Michelin restaurants around the world. The flavors of Benares are still remembers. Each friend who asks where to eat in London gets my hottest recommendation

Had a nice delayed birthday dinner. The set menu is good value, starters/dessert were good. Mains were a bit simple and flavours less exciting (fish +mussels bit bland and venison nice but not special) which was slightly disappointing. Had a lovely evening though and birthday cake at the end was nice!

Truly a wonderful experience, will visit again once Covid is over

As a first time visit for my wife's birthday, (she has the cookbooks and watched the TV shows!) we were not disappointed at all. Having been to Varanasi this completes our journey. The service was impeccable without being intrusive and the flavours of the food sublime. We chose the set menu and wine pairings and were delighted with the quality of the dishes. With cocktails this wasn't going to be a cheap lunch, but we felt every penny was well spent. Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes!

Amazing restaurant, definitely one to visit aleast ones. Great vegetarian food options. Very friendly staff. I went for my wedding anniversary, and when booking only I must have mentioned it to them and on the day we had a little surprise dessert from them on the house. It was lovely. I would definitely visit again. VKV

Fantastic experience. The food was delicious and imaginative: a modern twist on Indian cuisine.

The food was delicious,the drinks very good too. However,we were looking for a quiet evening which was interrupted by the waitress spilling drinks on my husband. The staff did apologize but you wouldn't expect this in such a restaurant. The main dining area was very noisy and one had to shout to be able to be heard.

Food was absolutely delicious and has amazing flavours and textures. It was difficult to hear the waiters descriptions of the food - they all spoke with very soft voices and I had to ask them to repeat descriptions most times. Other than that I would recommend the restaurant unreservedly. We had a great meal.

Amazing and creative, modern Indian food. Lots of hard surfaces make it noisy when busy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Fantastic cocktails before and during dinner. The food was amazing and the service was incredible. Benares, you have it spot on! We’re back on the 2nd November!!

Best Indian food ever. However, unrestrained screaming kids and loud smartphone games sound effects abound in this fine dining restaurant, albeit in lunch time.
