Food was lovely as usual however the service was a bit slow and all the food didn't come out at the same time and some of the portions were on the small side.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Was very busy, but this is to be expected on a Saturday night. Enjoyable meal overall, we would definitely go back.

We booked a table of two for 2045, arrived at the Restraunt on time and were told to get a drink as the table wasn't ready. We bought 2 drinks each and waited 30 minutes to be seated at the table. No apology given or complementary item. I was aware the restraunt was busy, but most frustrating when a couple that were a walk in got seated on a table before ourselves.

The restaurant was not as busy as usual so the service on this occasion was excellent. Food was fine and a good night was had by all.

This is a lovely restaurant, good food, good service and the teatime special is really good value. I would recommend without hesitation for a celebration etc.

Not the usual standard. Steak tough & lots of waste alongside waste with seafood dish. Slow drinks service at first. Two staff, 7 customers (we were 4 of them)

Food was delicious. Service was a little bit slow due to a shortage of staff. The lady that served us was rushed off her feet as she was looking after the full restaurant by herself.

I dined here tonight with my two grandchildren. Very friendly staff, the service was excellent. The food was good, I had sea bass which was delicious, and there is a children's menu. Would definitely return.

Food arrival was slow at 45 mins (Saturday night) but they apologised and gave a free bottle of wine which went a long way to making up for it. Food was very nice when it arrived. Ambience was contemporary rather than traditional Italian but overall worth a visit.

The starters took 40 minutes to come out. The mains - chicken parmo was just lots of cheese and no chicken. The ribs had no meat on at all and for £16 it was not worth it and the person eating it gave up!. The grilled chicken was meant to have blue cheese sauce but they forgot which came out 10 minutes after. The service wasn't really with a smile and no apology for the wait. We were really disappointed as some of the guests were from 100s of miles away visiting and it was their first time trying the Middlesbrough Parmesan which was really poor. It was really hard to part with £160 to pay for something that wasn't nice.

Very good. Service was spot on and the food a big improvement on last time. Restored my faith in Lucia's as my last experience wasn't great. Bit noisy though, and is there really any need to have the BBC News on big screens?

The food was good as was the service. It was a little too loud to carry on a conversation, but everyone was having fun so that was okay.

Steak was the fattiest piece of meat I have ever been served. It was like cutting rubber with a blunt cartoon knife, I physically couldn't cut it never mind eat it. Complete waste of time and effort. Initially I was offered a complimentary glass of wine to compensate the £25.50 (including £2.50 bland blue cheese sauce) to which I refused, requesting that I would rather not pay for something that I cannot eat. The only positive was that the polite waitress Kindly removed the whole meal from the final bill without any fuss. Other food ordered was pretty average. - Parmo chicken was very thick - they obviously don't make calzone very often - chips were very greasy and soggy - warm chocolate fudge cake was cold Positives: - the fish looked nice - friendly staff All in all. I don't think much of the food is cooked to order and if it's busy the kitchen staff struggle. If you have an unfussy dog at home, then you should have a decent portion to bag up and take with you. Our dog is a bit of a snob though and would probably take it to the garden and bury it.

The food was excellent just a couple of small problems stopped us giving a maximum score. On arrival we were seated near a large very noisy party but the staff quickly moved us to a quieter part of the restaurant and when paying the bill the card machine did not work meaning I had to go outside to the local cash machine to get enough cash to pay the bill. Due to the card machine issue we left a smaller tip than we would normally give.

Sea bass was excellent, sea bream the special of the day was only average-fish dry, potatoes undercooked;the pizza margarita was mediocre. We had a lunch time special here about a month ago and by comparison the food was both better and much less expensive.

I have visited Lucia's several times, each time meal has been great. Unfortunately this time we waited 45minutes for our meal after ordering, atmosphere was great, staff very friendly but when our meal arrived my meal did not seem to all go together, I ordered the lamb which came with potatoes, asparagus, cous cous and a light gravy. The lamb was very fatty which I know that lamb can be, but stated on the menu as 'lamb rump'. I really love Lucia's but feel this needs to be addressed due to having such great previous experiences.
