Blackwoods

We loved everything. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The staff were very attentive and because it’s a small restaurant it didn’t feel busy or too noisy.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Blackwoods on short notice. The drinks were delicious and well-made; our food - the aged sirloin and cod, were cooked to perfection. Reasonable price for dinner and drinks. Recommended!

To be fair the staff and the place is great, however the food wasn’t what I expected from a restaurant. The appetizers were good but the mains were really off, we had the risotto that was clearly undercooked and we had the duck breast that was overcooked.

Despite it being relatively busy on the evening after valentines night the usual high standards didn’t slip. Food, drink and service were once again excellent.

Very nice room and staff were excellent. Menu is a bit limited but food was fine and wine was fine and reasonably priced. We will use again.
