While, for the main event, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the braised steak and mushroom pie, Mediterranean-style king prawn linguine with garlic, chilli, butter topped with rocket and parmesan or the Catalan fish stew brimming with local seafood delights like mussels, clams, squid and prawns, served with locally made artisanal bread. Beautiful beautiful food. Simple and cooked perfect. Definitely recommend. We had the scotch egg to start and the fish burger for mains and they were both lovely

I went along to Blooms last week with my partner and we started with some very nice taramasalta and homemade bread which was shared and enjoyed. The next courses were mussels and chips which my partner and I both chose. The mussels were cooked to perfection, although a little smaller than before, there were more of them to compensate. Really delicious but failed to say that the Mariniere came with cream, which as a lactose intolerant person, can be a problem but they got eaten nontheless. The chips were huge and chunky, again very well cooked and tasty but we felt it would have been better to have the authentic thin fries. Overall we couldn't fault the cooking and taste of the food, the main problem at Blooms, as has been the case several times before, is the length of time to get served. Get that right and you'll fill all the empty seats around us that evening. One suggestion for the restaurant is utilise the bar area more by advertising light bites with cocktails and wines eg oysters and champagne/Prosecco, artisan breads, olives etc, things that are quick to prepare and can make extra money on??

Dinner here for Valentine's day. Greeted on arrival shown to table which had a single rose on and a pack of love heart sweets. A nice little touch. No set dinner, orders from the normal menu. Food was very nice. Ox cheeks that melted in the mouth as did the rump steak. No room for dessert. Warning dont order the sharing bread to start unless you have a big appetite. Its rather large but very tasty!!!

Was impressed with the new online booking site. Was asked if any dietary/special requirements, one of the party was gluten free......when we arrived at Blooms the waitress knew immediately and had the special diet menu ready for her to look at. The service and food were excellent as usual. Would highly recommend

The food was amazing however, the bar was so busy we couldn’t hear ourselves, it was Saturday but we were out for a family meal so not the best atmosphere. There was also a fight in the bar while we were there and several of the punters from the bar were smoking weed in the doorway. In addition, the service was very slow and the staff didn’t really communicate with us. Several times we had to go and find staff just to order drinks. Doubtful we will go back which is a shame as the food was very good.

The staff were lovely and the chef was very accommodating! The food was delicious and fresh! We made a special trip to Folkestone to re-visit this restaurant as we had such a good experience the year before - we weren't disappointed, we were very glad we returned.

Really great service and attentive staff. The food is excellent, fresh and the servings just right. A nice atmosphere on a Sunday too, with a very talented Pianist playing in the corner! Will definitely come again, one of the best restaurants in Folkestone.
