Serving up mouthwatering Indian cuisine to the people of Nottingham since 1998, Bombay Bridgford is the place to go for a real Indian dining experience, located just over the landmarked Trent Bridge on Radcliffe Road. Whether you’re a meat lover or vegetarian, you’ll find plenty choices on the extensive menu that features both time-tested classics and contemporary favourites. We recommend whetting your appetite with some chilli king prawns or nawabi lamb chops, before moving on to the butter chicken, the palak paneer or fiery kerala fish curry. To guarantee a table at this local hotspot, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
I believe that the restaurant has changed hands recently. Although the staff were good and the chef tried to accommodate my taste for a very mild (i.e. no spices curry) it did not happen. The last time I went the chef made me the perfect curry so I was left a little deflated. However the curry I had was just about palatable but still too spicy for me unfortunately :( Nonetheless the others enjoyed their food but my husband did agree that the food was not as good as the previous time we went. The only other downside to our night out was some awful people that were dining just ahead of us. They were very loud and we had to ask to move tables. Even so one of the women had to have a go at us because we asked to move! The staff were very apologetic even though it was not their fault. Some people need to be more respectful of others!
The food here was excellent, I believe the chef uses his own spices and each dish can change slightly. We had a lovely table and the service was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good curry.
Always very polite staff and great food, nothing to much trouble for them and they will give you information on the different meals to try, to get you the right meal.
