The afternoon tea meal size is poor compared to other restaurants, too many sweets not enough salute savouries
Ridiculous prices £11 for 3 flavourless beef croquettes tha5 you could have bought for a £1 at Iceland, celeriac that accompanied them was rubbery and had no taste or crispness (I suggested perhaps a smidgeon of horseradish but had the celeriac been fresh, that would have added a lemony/aniseedy bite; fillet steak the size of a 50p coin for I think £32 (at this point we paid and left) average service; sitting under air con so was cold even with a jacket on.
Great food & service. Very civilised. A very enjoyable experience
Lovely food and surroundings, the only thing is you do have to wsit a while for service as everyone is so busy and the restaurant is popular. Apart from that we had a nice time.
A really wonderful meal accompanied by fantastic pleasant patient and polite staff well done Browns
Lovely food last visit so we returned. Excellent roast beef & dessert of poached pineapple was delicious. Food did take a moment to arrive, but waiter very attentive & polite. Was a bit pricey but we both had an alcoholic drink so that was probably why. 😅
Roast dinner was lovely. Were out of stuffing but gave us extra pigs in blankets when we asked about it. For dessert shared mango sundae & it was out of this world. Too big for 1 person. Piano music was fab & contemporary. Server's were very attentive.
Another excellent meal at Brown's. Food was well presented and flavoursome. However, we felt the wine was a little over-priced. Service was perfect.
