The Burger & Lobster family of restaurants is well known for serving some of the UK’s finest cuts of meat and freshest seafood. The restaurant’s menu keeps it simple, with just a few different options that are made to perfection every time. Found close to Bank underground station, this Burger & Lobster outpost is right in the heart of London and is a must-visit for fans of fresh, delicious lobster and juicy burgers. Open every day of the week except for Sunday, this well known restaurant is ideal for an impressive business lunch or in the evening for a romantic evening out. Book your table now to avoid a queue.
In 2011, four friends came together with the idea to create a restaurant that specialises in just a few particular dishes, each done particularly well. These same friends later established the very first Burger & Lobster in London’s Mayfair, and today have taken the brand worldwide, with locations in Dubai, New York CIty, Thailand and Sweden, among others, like this one here on Bank’s Threadneedle Street. The menu is straightforward and simple, with just a few – incredibly delicious – options to choose from. Burger & Lobster is also known for whipping up bespoke cocktails that are the perfect accompaniment to your chosen dinner.
Whether you’re there for a lobster or you’re hankering for an incredible burger, you’re in for a serious treat at Burger & Lobster’s Threadneedle Street branch. Found inside of a former bank, this spacious restaurant offers Nebraskan Angus beef burgers that are grilled to absolute perfection over an open flame. Nova Scotian lobsters are your other choice, and you can go for a whole one or eat it in the form of one of B&L’s famous lobster rolls. Veggies, have no fear – Burger & Lobster in London’s Bank also serve tasty black bean burgers without any meat. Sip on one of the bar’s signature cocktails – we like the Hummingbird Margarita – and you’re as good as golden. Because this Burger & Lobster location is known to get busy, booking ahead is highly recommended.
Love their lobster! Waiter was great and helped us choose a good wine. I've been several times before, never had any complaints. Great butter sauce with the lobster
Lovely service, easy to book, food brought to table very quick and fresh,-although restaurant wasn’t busy. Lovely decor, would recommend coming here, perfect for a party or date
Fantastic location Superlativ lobster Very nice end simpatic all staff The best lobster that i have eat in my life. Very very good for me and my friends
Very good food, super filling and fast table service. Food arrived quickly, quiet area in the corner. Would go back there again to eat soon
Stopped in for lunch with friends, and enjoyed simply good lobster and sides. We both had the lobster rolls – one regular and one Singapore spicy – both were good, although the spicy one could be a bit more spicy. The lobster was fresh with a firm texture and cooked to perfection, portions generous and brioche bun was toasted and so delicious that I actually finished the bun off as well. (I never finish the buns!) There was also a salad (not a fan generally) and the chips were a good accompaniment to the meal. Also had the panko prawns which had a nice crunch with big prawns and a good siracha mayo sauce to accompany it – there was also another sour based sauce but I was not a fan. This is a standard B&L with consistently good quality food, nice service and a nice atmosphere. The venue is spacious and there were a few booth tables for bigger groups and are far enough apart to not bother other guests to much. I went for lunch so the level of boisterousness was limited – I expect dinners might be a bit louder. I enjoyed my lunch there and will certainly come back when I am in the mood for a lobster lunch in the City.
The food was delicious and large portions. The waiter and the service was the best I have ever experienced, and I’ve been to a LOT of places. His attention and personal service was way over the top in all areas!! So was the rest of the team 👏🏻
Great food, very friendly service and lovely ambience. The only two things that I can flaw is 1) staff were reluctant to move us to a better table (not near the door where we could feel the breeze). And 2) the area was quiet as it was a weekend, however finding parking was a nightmare. I'd say don't drive and demand the table you want.
Good service, lovely food! Building was beautiful as well (we went to the Threadneedle Street location). Recommend - especially if you don't have much time to sit down - you can be in and out in an hour if you need to be. We weren't rushed and stayed much linger though.
The food was great. The service could be a touch more personable. Can't say that it was rude but can't call it friendly either. I asked to change tables (the restaurant wasn't particularly busy yet and we were only a party of 2), and they easily accommodated us but not without making me feel as if I hassled them.
I really like Burger & Lobster as a restaurant (burgers are amazing and so is the lobster I am told, not a seafood fan). The venue is beautiful, with high ceilings and lots of space. Last but not least the staff is great, very friendly & welcoming.
