The Menu Selection at Cafe Diwali is so good that it makes it difficult to choose what to have. Having made those choices the food does not disappoint, and neither does the service. The food is served beautifully, making it a truly good experience to eat there.
Lovely, airy restaurant, friendly service and great food. Two of our party were vegan, and the other two ate vegetarian, and everyone really enjoyed their lunch.
I had heard good things about Cafe Diwali, so couldn't wait to book a table once I knew we were going to be in town. There were three of us in our little group and three of departed at the end of the evening very pleased. I had the Hydrabadi chicken biriyani with a peshawari naan - excellent. Having lived in India for over a decade I was delighted with my choice and the quality (and quantity) of the food, excellent use of spices, gentle heat and very fragrant - well worth a visit and I will be returning.
The set meal at lunch time is really good, really good value and tasty food. Service is very good too, out second visit will go again
What an amazing experience! The food was outstanding, the best Indian food I have ever tasted. We were a group of 5 and are in total agreement. Cannot wait to return.
Excellent food. This is one the best Indian restaurants I have visited. The food is unusual and well above the norm for most Indian restaurants.
an enjoyable evening. Good selection on the menue. Quick service. But best of all excellant food. A good feel in there tonight. Looking forward to going back soon.
Reliably well priced, good food, served quickly and without fuss. The staff are always interested in engaging with diners about their dining experience, too! I recommend!
Fantastic service and the best Indian food I’ve had in the UK. However, the booking said the earliest table was 1.15 and we were walking past at 12.45 only to see it empty. Weird. But everything worked well despite that. Can’t recommend the restaurant highly enough. Have the Thali. Absolutely brilliant.
As ever, delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly service. Was nice to be able to eat in the garden this time because of the lovely weather.
Friendly and welcoming! Very vibrant and lovely feel! Food was excellent and very reasonably priced! We really enjoyed our evening! We will definitely be returning!
A very pleasant evening , food excellent but different from the usual Indian restaurant, felt authentic., only downside very noisy when busy. Staff very attentive. Service quick & efficient.
Fantastic evening! Superb high quality fresh food and the best service I have received in a long while. We look forward to returning very soon.
Changed menu since last visit and my favourite not there. Limited choice even more limited but tasty. I may not return until next menu change.
A perfectly pleasant evening out. Everyone in our group was happy with their choices from the interesting menu. The staff were attentive without constantly hovering.
Amazing food, excellent service, what more could you want. Definately will be visiting again. This is the very best eating place in Salisbury, possibly in Wiltshire.
What a lovely little gem. The food was super and the service was on top..we found this restaurant when we have a Night in Salisbury. We can only recommand you to visit it

This is our fourth visit to Café Diwali and each time we have been very impressed with the menu, the service, and the friendly atmosphere.
Always fantastic food, friends and atmosphere, never had a bad meal here! Looking forward to another visit soon. Fish starter fantastic, lamb main just yummy.
Delicious food and friendly atmosphere. In group of 3 and had the 3 main vegetarian option (veg thali platter, masala dosa and paneer kebab), very tasty all round!
Enjoyed the dosai and thali. Perhaps improve the sambar that is served with the dosai.Coconut chutney should have a little more seasoning but very acceptable anyway
Great lunch and good atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back. Price was very good to. - - - - - - - - - -
This is a lovely place with the bonus of a pretty peaceful garden with comfortable chairs and sun shades. The interior is pleasantly decorated with Indian themes. The menu is varied and interesting and the flavours delicious. Lunch time prices are very reasonable but they increase for dinner. The staff are welcoming and courteous . In my particular case they were patient and very helpful when one of our party was unwell though no fault of theirs. I will certainly revisit.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. We enjoyed our lunch. The food was well prepared and presented, with a real tastes of the India I remember.
Fantastic food & service. Only slight issue was that our table for two was too close to the table for 5 right next to it. Also, the waiting staff were struggling to keep up towards the end of our meal as the restaurant was very full. Will definitely recommend/return.
Very pleased with everything we ordered and the service we received. The music choice was a bit odd and affected the atmosphere somewhat, but that was minor. No hesitation to recommend and will definitely come here again.
Excellent food .Wonderful flavours. The best value Indian food in the Salisbury area.Sunday lunch is a particular favourite of ours and we will be back again soon
I love this place for the freshly prepared food from across the sub continent with fresh herbs & spices. My favourite restaurant in Salisbury. Keep it up guys!

Love this place, food is outstanding and good quality service too
Great food, great service. Highly recommended. You can book on-line or phone. Went with a group of friends and we all loved it. A good reason to come to Salisbury.
Great menu and the spiciest can be adjust to taste if you ask. Interesting options and presentation We really enjoyed our meal. Cheerful staff too
Attentive staff. Beautiful garden to relax in. Excellent food. All in all a lovely place to meet friends and enjoy a laid back lunch. Well worth a visit.
Excellent food and good service - same as usual. Good that the menu gives new options on a regular basis. Will certainly visit again in the near future.
Lovely restaurant staff very polite helpful nice decor awesome food.made the evening very relaxing made to feel welcome as so as we arrived.well done to the busy staff.
Lovely to sit out in the garden on a hot evening. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Food was so many steps removed from even the better local Indian restaurants. The mixed tandoori grill was so tender. The venison kebab was amazing. I opted for a salad rather than a naan, it was so fresh with diced cucumber, carrot and tomato, raddichio and pomegranate. My partner had the chicken curry, again so tender with a savoury coconut flavour an excellent naan and chutneys. The carrot halwa with vanilla ice cream was gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.
I looked forward to a enjoyable meal and was not disappointed. The welcome was warm and we were seated where we wished. The Chicken Biriani was delicious and the service was satifactory.
