Canal Boat Cruises

The staff were amazing, kind, efficient, helpful and very pleasant. Our entire party of 6 ladies thoroughly enjoyed their delicious lunches. We had a lovely relaxed afternoon, sailing gently along the canal with charming views of the fields and nature.

took my dad for his fathers day treat. The food is lovely. The boat was not over crowded so you didn't feel like you were on top of other diners. The service was good. Saw lots of lovely wildlife, swans & signets. Geese & goslings a baby deer chilling in a clump of bushes totally unbothered by our proximity. Will definitely go again

We both enjoyed the cruise very much. A good 3 hours relaxation. We would have appreciated a simple map included in your information book to know the areas we were passing through.

We did have a lovely time. . . . . the boat was beautiful and the weather quite pleasant. We saw goslings and swans and the scenery was lush. However, there was music playing throughout the excursion and sadly it was somewhat weird music. Not one tune did I recognise. It was grating and miserable too. The average age on the boat was similar to ours so it was possibly unsuitable for other guests too. We mentioned it . . no solution, apology or further interest was offered. Sadly we also had an issue with the wine. Because I was driving, we ordered a "medium" glass of wine as per the wine list. I drank the wine which was excellent. When we got the bill we thought the price was high so we checked the amount on the wine list. It seemed I'd been given the large glass of wine because "they don't do the small one anymore" So hubby had to drive! Not a serious issue but again when I mentioned it, there seemed to be little alarm or concern that a guest might end up drinking "over the limit" by accident. I'm sorry to appear negative . . .there was a lot good about the trip too. Despite these issues I think I would recommend the trip . . . .

Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our first experience with Canal Boat Cruises. We booked an evening tapas cruise. Excellent food and service. Will be back to try a daytime cruise. Highly recommended.

A lovely clean and roomy canal boat with nice big tables and pretty details. The afternoon tea was great. Sandwiches very fresh and different fillings. Pleased to have tea served in bone China cups. A really pleasant afternoon and felt that the two hour cruise time was just right. Enough time to enjoy your food and drink without feeling rushed.

The cruise was very well organised and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good quality with large portions. The food was very hot which is good and service was prompt. The food was unpretentious and simply presented. There is a bar which has a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as coffees. We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend it to others. Each party has there own table and there are 360 degree views. Top Tip: if you buy a voucher but the base cost of the trip is less than the value of the voucher, they will give you the balance against extra drinks.

Lovely trip worth booking, lovely boat, lovely food and very friendly staff. So nice to see a family business pulling together and nice to support will be back for another trip.

This is our second time it was delightful the music was light gentle and quiet as background music which made the atmosphere relaxed and calm thank you. The only other thought would be to have another veg carrots lovely peas could be less with aanother veg

Couldn't fault it, excellent service, friendly staff, food lovely (especially the roast potatoes, and the beef was just how i like it) nice relaxed atmosphere, very good selection of drinks available. Would do this again.

Lovely time spent with the family, very good level of serving

Fantastic afternoon, weather was great, food and scenery even better. I bought this as a Christmas present for someone that has everything and it's fair to say it went down a treat. The food was excellent and there was more than enough for my wife and I. The chicken pie was amazing with large chunks of perfectly cooked moist meat and decent quantities of it! It was that good we are considering a return visit in the not too distant future.

Was a lovely Sunday lunch cruise, the only thing for me is I had been on the same cruise last year and so had enjoyed going through the Locks and although the food was good, the gravy was like water and being a northerner that makes a Sunday lunch for me :( The staff were extremely helpful and my parents really enjoyed themselves.

The weather was kind for January. We all had a fabulous and relaxing time travelling on the canal with lovely staff and fabulous food and drink. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Overall - excellent. The boat is comfortable, well maintained and nicely appointed with good attention to detail, such as fresh flowers on every table. The staff on board were very friendly and efficient. The cruise was relaxing and comfortable and the food was of excellent quality Nd very well served. We intend return for further visits and recommend the experience very highly.

Very pleasant trip; staff were very amenable; food was good and plentyfull.; we were delighted with the trip and took a lot of photos. Our guest was visiting from Australia and was very pleased.

Lovely afternoon enjoyed the experience . We had the Sunday lunch and overall was very good. Staff were lovely through out the afternoon. feel I have to mention the roast potatoes were over cooked and was quite hard to eat other than that perfect well done.

Really enjoyed our day with lovely food. A great way to enjoy a relaxing day out. Would highly recommend as is well worth the money.
