Visiting on a busy Saturday lunchtime is always going to be a bit of a gamble anywhere, but we did feel today the quality wasn’t quite as good as usual, I had the Seabass on crushed potatoes and minutely chopped salad, for me there was too much oily dressing, which merged the salad & potatoes all together, our other meal was the burger, which unfortunately was slightly burned on one side, atmosphere, staff etc, all good x

The service was great. The food very tasty but our main was sat on the pass for a while so that when it came to us it was not hot. We both had the seafood linguine so could not really ask for it to be reheated. It tasted really well just a shame it was cool.

50% off mains deal in January made a very nice Sunday evening meal. We enjoyed our starters and all our mains were very good. Service was good despite only one person being from of house for most of our meal. He was pleasant and efficient. Food arrived in a very reasonable time frame. Restaurant had a nice warm ambience

We have been many times , whilst the service was good , the food did not reach the same standard on this occasion.

Restaurant was full but fortunately I’d booked a table. Lively atmosphere. Excellent food. We really enjoyed our lunch.

Very poor wi-fi. No signal at all to connect with. Food good though and pretty good value. Nice wine too (Montepulciano). but expensive! Overall, good enough to bring us back in the future.

The service was excellent. The waitress who served us was attentive and clearly keen to make our experience a positive one. The food was excellent and good value for money. Overall I great evening and a restaurant worthy of a visit.

The restaurant ran out of milk and I had to request that someone should go to the local shop and buy some. This was done but a comment was made that the employee would have to buy this themselves. How can a restaurant run out of milk at 1.30 pm on a busy day.

We four ladies had a memorable visit. Two arrived first very early and were shown to a table near the kitchen opposite a very lively table where children were creating and their Mums seemed to be ignoring the noise and distraction to others. Third lady arrived and sat at a different table not knowing that two were already seated. She tried to send text message but No Service in the restaurant. Meanwhile I had been oblivious to the fact they were all inside and was waiting by the door outside. Eventually came inside on time and tried to send message but no go. I walked in and saw the two separate tables so we finally got four of us together and ordered drinks to contain ourselves and luckily the noisy party were near the end of their stay. All went very well after that. Our meals were delicious, serving staff delightful and were helpful and very attentive.

Food was very delayed without explanation. Service was slow. Food was ok. Standard not as before.

Food and staff were great, child friendly. Will visit again.

Splendid Christmas menu. Service was quick. It was just what we wanted and hoped for.

I love this restaurant located right in the middle of beautiful Chester. It was buzzing with it being the weekend before Christmas. The staff were friendly & efficient. I chose the Festive Menu & it didn’t disappoint. We sat for a couple of hours & didn’t feel rushed. We even had the pleasure of our very well behaved Labrador being accommodated and she sat quietly with us.

We were served quickly, our server was friendly and food was decent.

Requested a quiet table for two for a birthday meal. Was sat next to two of the loudest women in creation despite the restaurant being three quarters empty. Service was very very slow and there was absolutely no happy birthday message at all. When we left the waitress didn't even thank us for our custom. Food was very nice but the treatment was not very good at all.

Poor service, food average, luke warm and pricey. I have had a much better experience than this before so really don’t know why it was so poor.

Service very slow. We were there for three hours. Wrong drink brought that wasn’t ordered. Needed to keep looking for staff to order etc

The plate the food sat on was cold. The food was undercooked, there was runny uncooked eggs in one slice of French toast and the other hadn’t been dipped enough so had plain bread inside. The tea was weak even after leaving it a while.

Table wasn’t ready on arrival. Food average. For the price we’ve had better.

Crushed potatoes too slushy.. Thought tomatoes would be warm or hot. Schnitzel too herby - Too much Basil on - not mentioned on the menu. Overall quite Disappointed - especially for price

Saturday morning for breakfast, lovely food: salmon avocado and eggs. Great service from the blonde haired lady.

Overall good service. Polite staff and very helpful. Just wasn't given correct cutlery when we was at our table. We had to grab a set from another table .overall very good only this minor problem.

The chicken millanaise was over cooked and we waited an hour between starter and main course. We have previously eaten at this restaurant on many occasions.
