Welcome to Diego’s house! Casa Diego is a fresh and funky new tapas bar tucked down Hildreth Street, just off Bedford Hill and Balham High Road, and not far from Balham station itself. Equipped with a fearsomely good espresso machine and a well-stocked bar, this red-and-white bar and restaurant strikes a pretty pose down here in southwest London. Inside, indulge in exquisite, homemade Spanish tapas covering nibbles like simple sourdough and garlic mayo, cured meats and cheeses, tapas proper to cap your sherry like padron peppers and marinated pork loin, heftier dishes like the quail eggs with jamon de pata negra on toasted sourdough, stuffed mussels and more. Don’t forget your sweet-tooth – ask if Casa Diego are doing their cremita Catalana – divine.
Loved it. GrEat service and hood value plus can sit on the street and gear the music. Would recommend if in Balham and on to the wine shop
Fabulous food, wonderful atmosphere and such lovely service! I am sad to see it leaving Balham. Hoping Casa Diego 'pops' up somewhere else soon,. I would highly recommend.
Food was lovely and staff very friendly. Limited space which was nice but not a huge choice of drinks. Overall though it was a lovely evening
