fantastic vegetarian options, Castle Chinese is one of our favourite places to eat out in Lewes.

Waiting area for takeaways was a bit to close to where we were eating. It also wasn’t clear where we had to wait before being shown to our table. The food was delicious and the service was great so we’ll be back.

Having been regular customers at the Panda Garden for the last 35 years, we are delighted that the Castle Chinese restaurant has taken up their premises and are providing such good food and a pleasant ambience. It was a busy Saturday evening but the service was good, pace of food arriving just right and some very nice dishes, all freshly made.

Good range of dishes - turned up just in time to have the 2 course lunchtime menu and added a portion of chow mein noodles. Quality was very good - will definitely visit again

Food ok - not stunning. Staff welcoming. Table was very close to other customers - too close - asked to move and was put at a table right next to kitchen. Tiger beer - small bottle - was 4.00!

The menu was quite varied. There were just two of us but the starter came at completely different times. When we asked to see the dessert menu, it was as though they didn't want to be bothered and the bill was placed on the table, just after the dessert was served.
