I really enjoyed my visit. Nice surroundings and the cats were very friendly. I would have liked more information from the staff when we arrived. That isn't a direct criticism as when I asked questions I received informative answers. Will be going back for more visits.

Excellent location on the banks of the Tyne. Lovely relaxed chilled out cafe and the cats were chilled out too. Look out for live wire Gatsby, worth the admission price alone! For £5 you get a cold drink or pot of tea, great value for money and if you love cats, it is heaven!

We had a great time and the food was lovely. My vegetarian teenage daughters will not usually eat out , but we had no problems here and they both agreed it was fabulous. We will go back next time we are in Newcastle.

Cats are gorgeous; food and drink is yummy with a great selection. The only negative, and perhaps a suggestion for the cafe, is that they would benefit from having some "rules" regarding children. Unfortunately there were three children who were allowed to persistently hassle the cats and it was clear that the poor felines were not happy (however, it would also have helped if the parents had actually dealt with their children instead of allowing them to run riot.)

Very pleasant environment for a coffee. Cats are playful and enjoy interacting with visitors although some would rather be left alone! Would recommend it for a visit.

Hi - was there yesterday with two colleagues, could have just sat there all afternoon. Very enjoyable and will be back with my daughter. Did not eat this time but will next. We particularly enjoyed the company of Gatsby, very playful and naughty too !! See you soon.

I went with a friend and my 8 year old granddaughter. We all loved it. We were especially happy that the table we were shown to had Gatsby curled up on the couch. He slept there for almost the entire time we were in the café. My granddaughter waved a cat treat in front of this nose and that made him move. She then fed him a few more treats and he was then sat and watched us as we left. This is my third visit to the café but it most certainly will not be my last. On talking to the young lady who was serving us on Saturday, we were told that Ebby has had kittens and that she will be due back to the café in around 6 weeks with one of the kittens. We are going to try and get back shortly after that to see both of them. The cafe is always clean and welcoming. Nice choice of snacks and drinks.

Lots of lovely cats to stroke, play with and feed treats to. There is a cover charge of £5 per head to get in but this includes a free soft drink or tea. The drinks were lovely and we also had sandwiches, which were well filled but could have used better bread. We will certainly be returning and will always book in advance as there is only a limited capacity so that the cats don't get overwhelmed.

CatPawChino was an excellent experience for my girlfriend and I. The staff at the cafe are friendly and attentive, it is well located on the quayside, and the cats are obviously very well looked after and playful. Besides the obvious reason to go there- to see and play with the cats- the cafe itself is very nice: the coffee and tea are good, plus the selection and quality of food is also good. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone who likes cats and also wants a good cup of tea.

I thoroughly recommend Catpawcino! We spent over an hour in the peaceful and relaxing environment. The resident cats will come to you when they are ready and we enjoyed choosing toys to entertain them with. The staff were really friendly, food tasty and the toilet was spotless. Can't wait to go back and take friends with us to share the experience.

The service was extremely poor. The girl taking the order got the drinks order wrong but insisted it was correct and after having to explain 4 times that it was incorrect she and the other member of staff (possibly the owner) agreed to actually give us what we ordered. This meant that we were sat with food but no drinks. The 'soup of the day' is really half a tin of Heinz soup and not worth £3. The cats themselves are lovely but there is one who the staff told us is very fussy and takes a long time to like people so really shouldn't be there for her sake as this is not a good environment to have a nervous cat in. Overall a very disappointing lunch and not a place that we would visit again.

Lovely Cat Cafe very relaxed atmosphere. The position on the quayside was perfect and very easy to find. Would have like a slightly more varied choice of bites to eat but we just settled for a few coffees during our visit although I guess the experience is more important than the food in this type of cafe.

Funny little place. The cats are lovely but as cats typically do, they sleep a lot. The food is very average. They could do with focusing on the food a bit more to make it attractive to visit for the food with the cats as a bonus as the focus is probably more on the cats, you may be disappointed if they aren't doing much in the hour you are there.

My partner and I loved our first experience at Catpaw Cino - we were visiting from New Zealand and missing all our feline furbabies so it was great to meet at the "fur residents" in the café and have a smooch and a cuddle - all so laid back and relaxed. They all had a play too - marvelous having the box of cat toys by the door :-) Next time we are back in Newcastle we will definitely visit again. Huge kudos too to whomever came up with the name - very clever!! Jules and Arron, Christchurch, New Zealand

Absolutely fabulous little cafe, lovely to interact with the cats. Cats look well cared for and plenty of high up places if they don't want to interact with visitors . Nice sandwiches and coffee and very friendly staff. Highly recommended
