CAU - Bath

Once again we enjoyed dinner at this fine restaurant. As usual, the steak was excellent and the service friendly and attentive. I hope to book a Sunday Roast lunch at Cau very soon.

Unable to properly cook rib eye steak rare . Recommended medium rare as they could not guarantee that it would be cooked externally if rare. Buy a hotter grill ! Staff helpful but this is a fundamental failure.

Chaotic!!!! But excellent service and food! Extremely busy, nosiy restaurant but couldn’t fault the lovely staff who kept apologising for the dalay in waiting for table and the chaos! Will try again as staff so lovely.

Lovely food Service was ok but the staff were not perhaps as attentive as we would have liked not great at check information we needed drinks etc Overall had a lovely Birthday celebration with family

The service was slow due to there not being enough staff on. Only 2 members of waiting staff is not enough during school holidays. I had booked this table weeks in advance as was my sons 16th birthday as was let down by the fact i had to go and ask if we could order. The staff who were there were polite and doing best they could but too many customers to serve efficiently

This was our second lunchtime visit to this nice restaurant and we again had the fixed price 3 course meal which is very good value. The steak with frites and salad we had as the main course was excellent and the glass of red house wine we chose to accompany the food was very good. The restaurant has a very pleasant ambience and we found the waiting staff friendly and attentive. We now have a '50% off' voucher which we intend to use on an evening visit later this month and choose something from their main menu.

Lovely meal, fabulous servers and gorgous food. So nice we went twice in a week. Best steak and burger we've had in a long time and seemed great value for money.

The food is fabulous. Staff friendly and welcoming. We had steak which is always the Best you have ever tasted. Our son had the chicken which he said was really good.

Friendly service and good atmosphere add to the experience. The steaks are really very, very good if a little expensive (but worth it) Good (if limited) wine list is also on the expensive side. One gripe - the bill is presented with the "optional 10% service" already added and if paying by card it's this total that you are asked to pay.

Slow service to start in what was a pretty empty restaurant but that soon turned around and the service was good. Nice food and good atmosphere for lunch

Very good food and friendly helpful service. Our main course was a little delayed and they give us our wine free unprompted. Steaks are particularly good

We had a good meal (again!), this time we tried their sirloin steaks which were excellent. We also like the modern interior and the good service.

Variable. My sons steak was good. I had a poor sirloin. It looked like a cheese with the fat thick and the end of the meat thin - never good for quality nor cooking as part is overcooked. 220g or 250g steak was 150g grissle. Great staff and ambience. Offered a free dessert that my son enjoyed but as I don't enjoy sweet things so I was disappointed. Good front of house as he was understanding and took the gristle to the chef so he understood. Didn't appear to be a manager that could address the supply issue as the chef had done his best to be fair.
