We went to Cau in Guildford for a late lunch on a Sunday. It was quiet and the service was good. The food was delicious! We all had a steak (different cuts) and the quality and tenderness of the meat was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

Great service and delicious food! Very warm welcome and attentive service throughout. High standard of food and not rushed throughout the meal. Would highly recommend.

They phoned to check we were still coming - fine; accepted our slight change of time as we were going to the theatre. Food was outstanding for the four of us and the trainee Italian lady was excellent; what more can I say??

Not many people in which was a shame. We had the special lunch menu which is very good value. Steaks as normal were great. Friendly staff

Loved it - fantastic steaks, service and margaritas and not stupidly expensive.

Delicious food, great service and ambiance. Loved our table on the balcony and Roxy was perfect. A bit pricey that’s all as you have to pay for little extras like sauce and it all adds up when the steak is expensive anyway.

I was a bit disapppinted with my steak but they changed it and took 30% off the bill so overall I was happy and would go back

Lovely place. The steaks were mouth-watering, with different cuts avaliable for a wide range of prices. Do not miss their 'dulce de leche' ice cream!

Very enjoyable steak restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. The only suggestion is that the steak on the plate was not garnished with say a tomato. Also I ordered Irish coffee which was very good. Altogether it was a pleasant lunchtime experience . I dined alone but felt very happy .

No complaints, food great, service good. Table was a bit small for our order. Cold wind every time the door opened. Everything else was good.

Very good food, even better cocktail and wine. Charming staff. Slight mix up on the starter delivered hence the 5 rather than 6. Will go back

I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the excellent service from staff. Our waiter was a delightful young man, the steak was beautiful and I will definitely return to eat there again. Maybe try the lunchtime menu with a friend.

A very disappointing meal! My girlfriend ordered an orange juice and it came out warm, the staff didn’t seem to know which steak was which when they bought them out to us and they weren’t cooked as requested, a steak restaurant should know how to cook steak.

The food was excellent and very friendly staffs. This is our favourite restaurant my wife and I. We Highly recommended it who wants to go out and have a good time.

Steak was not cheap and it wasn't that good either. I think my previous visit (some months ago) was much the same. Won't hurry back,.

Great service. Excellent steak medallions and great choice of wines - Malbec of course! Great atmosphere and tables weren’t too close together like in some restaurants.

Overall good service, not the biggest table for two servings of food and drink, have had better steak 🥩 was very stringy in the middle not what I expected

Busy clean restaurant. Steaks very good and cooked how we wanted. Friendly welcoming staff. Had the bread basket as starter so gave us something to nibble on whilst we waited for steaks

Great food, lovely service and delicious food. For a steak restaurant, it offers something a little different. And there are some really nice sounding vegetarian (and non-steak) options for those who don’t want beef. Would definitely go back.

Excellent service, we were made to feel very welcome. Love Cau roast dinners, the last time I went to Guildford it was not so good but glad to see they have gone back to their very high standards

A great buzzy atmosphere, good service and delicious food. A good place to go with a group or as a pair. Some tables a little close together if you are seated in 2's but overall a great atmosphere.

Wonderful atmosphere and super friendly staff. Food was cooked to perfection. I will continue to come here over and over, and recommend to friends and family. Perfect for groups or a date.

Best place for steak in Guildford, - very attentive and friendly staff. Great choice on the menu even if you don't go there for steak.

Cau Guildford was excellent as always. The steaks are always great and cooked to perfection. They have a great selection of other food and drinks as well.

Fantastic food. Service second to none. All the staff went out of their way to accommodate us as a big party. The chef even made a surprise celebratory dessert for my son as it was his Birthday .

Place is designed very well. Staff are very helpfull and nice. Everything came in order as we asked. Steaks were tender, soft, juicy. Briefly perfect. Sides were hot and delicious. Definitely worth to go here again for delicious steaks and starters

Service was a bit erratic and slow, main courses arrived before our starters had been cleared, one of the waiters did not seem to give one about this fact. Otherwise food was good and tasty and the Maitre Dee was great sorting us out a better table away from the kitchen entrance.

It felt as if we were in a rush. Plates not take away from starter then main arrives. Second round of drinks late to arrive. Always pricey. Could do with a set menu sometimes. Friendly staff Will definitely go back, best steak in town.

This is not my first visit to Cau and I adore this restaurant. I think the sreaks there are besr in town. There is only thing I would recommend: to add more veg starters to their menu
