Birthday dinner was amazing. Great deselection of meats cooked how we asked. Staff were fab and attentive. Will visit again. If you revel in being a carnivore- this is the place.x I think vegans have been known to spontaneously combust here- which is a good thing 😉

My partner and I came to Chamuyo for our Valentine’s Day dinner, for the first time, and it was absolutely one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We arrived earlier than we were supposed to, by about 30 minutes, but the lady that greeted us didn’t even hesitate to try and get us seated, an amazing start! We sat and our waitress introduced herself (I want to say her name was Lara but I may be wrong) and brought over some complimentary Cava which was a really nice gesture. She gave us time to decide what we wanted without harassing us, which seems to be an trend in other restaurants in Brighton, but once she took our order, she offered on-the-house chimichurri which was also a nice touch. The food took no time at all to arrive at our table and it was some of the best food we’ve had. We had the butterfly sirloin, the 350g rump, chips, veg and the spinach - every single bite was bursting with flavour and really superbly done. Couldn’t have been happier! My steak was a little overcooked to my liking but it was so tender and full of flavour that I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle for the staff (who were running around like crazy anyway) to take back and get another cooked - it was still an amazing steak - no complaints! We finished our meal and our table was quickly cleared. We then had our desert which was the warm chocolate cake and ice cream. It followed suit with the rest of the food and was to die for, it was absolutely amazing! Once desert was finished, we got the bill and headed home. I have to say this was such a pleasant surprise, we usually don’t stray from restaurants we are familiar with but I am so glad we tried Chamuyo. Amazing service and amazing food. The staff did a perfect job and it was truly 10/10 for us. We’ll 100% be coming back!

Loved it so much such a beautiful spot for valentines, cosy and warm vibes.

Have been to this restaurant many times before, but was very disappointed to be sat outside in the garden/terrace area, even though I had booked the table well in advance.

Second time we’ve been here and it was so amazing the first time we were a bit worried it wasn’t going to live up to it the second!! We needn’t have worried, EVERYTHING was faultless from the staff, drinks, starters and most importantly the steak! Can’t rate this place highly enough. Will be back soon :)

Felt we was just left every thing seem to take ages when people came in after us were had there meal and bill before as shame as we have been there so many times and now are wondering if we will return

We had a long wait for for taking of initial drink order. Steaks arrived with long delay for sides, we had to remind staff that we were waiting. Rather than let the steaks get cold we started the steaks. The table alongside ours experienced the same issue, and also complained. Server gave one of our party peppercorn sauce rather than mushroom sauce which resulted in meal having to be returned and recooked. One of our party had to accept ribeye rather than rump they had ordered. So the service overall was chaotic with multiple issues, which was a real shame given that we all loved our food and the atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and friendly and acknowledged. the issues.

It was a bit disappointing as the restaurant was recommended to us! The steak was amazing but there was very little pork on the pork belly mainly fat which wasn’t crispy! It took 20 minutes to order a desert and another additional 20 minutes for the bill! The organisation is not very successful which was a shame

We've been to this Chamuyo in Brighton on a few occasions and unfortunately we were disappointed this time round, food was ok, chips were cold and we couldnt eat them, no green beans, steak medioca. Staff were brilliant though.........

Excellent Rump steak and chips with a side salad. The steaks were cooked to our instructions and were perfectly produced. Highly recommended.

Brilliant restaurant. I had requested a quiet table as it was my husbands birthday and we had the perfect table at the back of the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was amazing as expected. Would definitely recommend.

Not been for a while - not sure why…… but every bit as good as the last time we visited. Great menu (for carnivores) with some interesting South American extras. Staff knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If you like a good steak - plenty to choose from. A definite recommend.

We had a fantastic evening. The service was great, every waitress was friendly and helpful and very efficient. Recommended a great wine . The food was delicious (sausage for starters and then the sharing platter) . A perfect evening!

This was our second visit and we had another highly enjoyable evening! Excellent service... friendly and knowledgeable! One thing I really appreciate is being welcomed quickly once you've sat down and given menus / drinks etc. Emily was great here. Will definitely be back! :)

Wonderful Argentinian restaurant in Brighton, serving authentic food, close to the Brighton Centre for gigs. Staff were very friendly and lovely ambiance. Washrooms could do with an update.

Unfortunately there was a table of four that were very loud seated close to our table. When they were spoken to by a member of staff they got very abusive

The only slight annoyance was that we had no breather from starter to main and we were told 2 hours on the table. I get the time on the table but then we felt rushed to get in and get out but waiters and waitresses were polite and very helpful
