Chamuyo Argentine Steakhouse

First impression was “oh this is small” and then we were walked through and through until the very end. It’s bigger than you think. Unfortunately when we arrived it felt very cold but the waiting staff quickly turned on the heaters and it was warm again in minutes. Food/steak amazing. Wow the steak is cooked to perfection and the different cuts were so different. Husband who only ever eats fillet walked away saying he really enjoyed rump. I was proved right that my favourite was ribeye. Owner came and chatted to customers which was lovely and he said one word that made this place better than the “Coal Shed” -pretentious!!! Anybody and everybody is welcome here and he is so right. We will defo return very soon and not have to spend exorbitant prices of other restaurant! Wish we had made it sooner.

quite to receive main course but all the staff ignored us for a good 50 minutes before coming down for dessert menus. slow service and a 10% seemed a bit steep. good forever however

I booked a table last night to celebrate our anniversary, and we had an amazing experience for our first visit to this restaurant. I had mentioned in my booking that it was our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. The food was perfect, and the service was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to find a “Happy Anniversary” balloon on our table when we arrived, and we were even treated to complimentary drinks to celebrate the occasion. It truly made our evening memorable!

The quality of the steaks weren’t very good, very, very chewy. They were cooked ok. Pork chops were completely over cooked, they were rock hard.

What a find! We had a family outing to see my daughter who has just started at uni in Brighton and I chose here based on reviews of the good. We were not disappointed. We have the sharing mixed steak and it was delicious. All four types of steak were excellent - tender and beautifully cooked. Great chips and salad and very reasonably priced. The service was outstanding and we were very impressed when my husband tipped red wine over my daughter ( by accident!) and the staff rushed to help with paper towels and vanish spray.. They were so caring and lovely. This was a really good restaurant and we will definitely be back lots over the next three years.

Have been to Chamuyo a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is just so tasty and the steaks are so so good. And the staff add to a good dinning experience, Kayley( i think that's right) who was front of house and serving was first class

Unfriendly greeting at the door, chap seemed cross that I had booked last minute. Waiting staff were great - friendly and conscientious. Order was taken promptly and drink and food delivered in good time. The kitchen seemed to have problems making sautéed spinach, delivering a tiny bowl or raw spinach twice, before I gave up and cancelled the order. Waiting staff were quick to apologise and gave me a glass of wine on the house to compensate. The chimichurri sauce was disappointing - very oily with no hint of chilli and large chunks of garlic which was the only discernible flavour. Overall an okay meal, but not great and definitely overpriced. I wouldn’t go back.

Lovely ribeye steak and mixed salad. Must try the mushroom sauce. The Blue cheese butter that comes with bread is tasty too.
