Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
Chaudhary is a title indicating ownership of ancestral South Asian lands that is often, in the contemporary age, often taken as a surname. The title of best Indian restaurant in Glasgow is fiercely contested, but for many Rutherglen residents the recipient is a foregone conclusion. Chaudhary’s Restaurant & Bar forgoes the usual drapery that lend South Asian restaurants their ‘atmosphere’, opting instead for a light-filled dining room on the Main Street where the proprietor (and previously a five-star hotel manager) Manoj Chaudhary personally supervises operations to ensure that his chef’s blend of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes make it to table to the delight of all his guests. Tandoori dishes and old favorites might be standbys, but we recommend the restaurant’s specialties to confirm Chaudhary’s as at the peak of its game.
Empty when we arrived, all the attention on us, staff very nice and reactive, food very good, real Indian dishes well prepared. This place seems to have it's usual people coming ! Bill not as cheap as we tend to think. £50 for 2 is the average with 1 drink / 1 starter / 1 main each
Food was excellent, portions more than ample, couldn't finish. Staff friendly and polite, service was prompt. Great food at reasonable prices; nothing negative to say, a good wee restaurant.
Very attentive staff. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and ample portion sizes. The restuarant was spacious with a nice atmosphere. We will return for another visit soon
