Checco's - Great Harwood

We regularly frequent Checcos but we had not been for some time recently .... we were not disappointed! The food was excellent and very, very tasty. My husband had the chicken livers starter which is his favourite dish and the flavours were spot on! The pate I had was very light and tasted great. We had pizza and even those were cooked to perfection and you could taste every ingredient. The portion of spaghetti carbonara for our daughter was perfect, she ate every bit and it was bursting with flavour. Well done Checcos for a thoroughly enjoyable evening - I highly recommend a visit!

Excellent food. Good service. Atmosphere a little lacking but it was not a busy evening. Perhaps a bit too expensive but a good selection on the menu and specials board. Would definitely go again!

The restaurant is in need of an update, last visited here maybe 15 years ago and it’s exactly the same. New lighting needed etc Food and service was good though

Great restaurant which my wife and I used regularly when we first met. Having recently moved back to the area we went to celebrate her 40th and it was a good as ever. Great food and friendly attentive staff!

There is no where better! We love this restaurant so much. Authentic Italian food in an intimate restaurant. The staff cannot do enough to help and treat our daughter like a guest of honour. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough

Friendly staff and good service as usual. We tried the specials which were tasty although a lump of chicken skin not appreciated by my partner in tortellini. Nice atmosphere and not as mad busy for a Saturday evening as I've seen it. No bad thing?

We went to Checco's for my mum's birthday, she wanted a pizza so we decided on Checco's. The place has a nice,friendly atmosphere of typical Italian trattoria/pizzeria. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food arrived in good time . Our pizzas were great, nice thin based and great flavour. The kids enjoyed the banter with the staff and thoroughly enjoyed their mixed flavour ice creams. For desert, I had the lemon cream crunch and mum enjoyed her tiramisu. Overall great night and great food. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Great wide choice of dishes, and just as important dish sizes for the children. 6 of us chose different starters, different mains and different sweets - not a scrap left on any plate which speaks for itself. Great service too.

Ambience still there, not been for some years. We both had steaks which came in a sauce which covered the plate like a bowl of soup, would have been better served separately. Food okay

Been going to Checcos for years, this time I was extremely disappointed, though service was ok the food this time definitely was not of usual standard. Overpriced starter, steak not cooked as requested and Eton mess was like soup- fruit had obviously been frozen then defrosted in the microwave then served hot which resulted in the ice cream being totally melted. Poor 😟- and expensive

We have been here on and off for many years, it's a relaxed, friendly environment, very strong on the staple Italian foods pizza and pasta and good service. The pizzas were authentic and well loaded, the Checco comes with everything on and the baked patsta lasagne / cannelloni arrives sizzling hot with plenty of cheese. Prices are quite reasonable too.

you should never go back, they say. Used to go to Checco's very regularly up to 12 years ago, in those days could only book for a large number- 4 wouldn't cut it. Had to sit until they could fit you in. So, using this service was a great boon. however, they were empty and the service was poor. The quality of the food, not as I remember. Gone to fine dining, giant plates with a little foot cowering in a depression in the middle.
