Good food We did pre theatre menu which was good value. You get smaller portions but was plenty for us

Had booked for a pre theatre meal at 6.15 for a 7.30 theatre start. The restaurant was crowded but there was only time for starter course. We were told by service staff that the kitchen was overwhelmed but it meant that we had no time for main course.

We had the pre theatre menu, and ordered an hour before we had to leave. but they were so busy they didn’t cook mains in time and we had to leave after the starters. We were told it was because of all the deliveries they had to cook. Same that we weren’t prioritised as we were in the restaurant.

Lovely starters and duck, however main course was terrible compared to previous visits. Crispy chilli beef was just fried batter, no beef, chicken in black bean dish was bland and rice contained boiled rice with no flavour. Dissapointed compared to previous meals, service good though.

The service was very fast which we asked for as we were heading on to the theatre afterwards and the staff were so polite and attentive. The food too was really tasty, better than most others we have been to in Brighton or London. Highly recommend

Delicious food. Accommodating. We had booked but they were putting us on a table upstairs. We had elderly person's with us and they could not do stairs. I didn't realise there was an upstairs so didn't request for downstairs seating. They managed to move some things around and seat us downstairs. Pleasant evening all round.

Having enjoyed China Brasserie in the past, we were very disappointed in the meal. There was little flavour in the dishes, even the crispy duck. The beef in one dish was cooked well but tough and not as much flavour as we would have liked. The prawn dish, too, had little flavour and the batter was flabby. The beer was OK. Poor value for money considering the poor taste.

Service was excellent, in fact the best it's been for a while. Well done the team on the night (Sat 26 July). The food was delicious. It's fairly pricey, even taking into account the food quality.

2nd time I have visited and first time with our daughters. The food and service were amazing and I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting good quality tasty Chinese.

Never had a bad meal there always a great experience wish I could go there more often.
