The service was excellent from start to finish. The food was very good
Going to Chokha is a special treat, and it never disappoints. Service, food and ambience is great, so are the cocktails!
Great food. Really impressed. Particularly liked the tandor cooked salmon.
Return visit to an excellent Indian restaurant. A little more pricey than a standard offering but the old adage that you get what you pay for rings true here.
Overall good but request was made for the food to be spicy which was not done. The pappadums where good. Dinner was with 5 people. Starters were enjoyed, the grilled lamb/paneer and chicken malai but disappointed with the food as tasted like a microwave Indian from m&s
Food was good service could be better although I am sure this is down to it being new. Menu fairly limited
Great atmosphere, truely delicious food. Happy, relaxed staff. Fish curry and duck were amazing, butter chicken was wonderful, they take allergies seriously and are very helpful. What a great place, We had a great night. Will def visit again.
Fabulous food, service and decor. West end quality and service. A little quiet for Sunday lunch so where was everybody? Do they not know about this local gem?! Lunch menu very good value. Thank you will see you again!
They had me at Surmai Salmon. A stunning opening to a beautiful meal. Would totally recommend to place to anyone, and will definitely be taking family and friends.
Lovely modern restaurant with attentive staff. Food was authentic and very tasty. Paneer starter was lovely and soft, which my friend much preferred to her onion bhaji!
Excellent south Asian cuisine in a fresh modern environment. Thoroughly recommended. Expect to pay a little more than a standard curry house but worth it.
Food was not at the standard we were expecting for the price tag. Waited a long time after mains for dessert menus Ambience in the restaurant is lovely. My wAiter was new but could not help me with the drinks menu when I asked if they had a particular cocktail, didn’t use initiative to go and ask someone else either!
Great food. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu at a very reasonable price. Ambience was great, not too stuffy which you sometimes find with "fine dining"
I had the tandoori spring chicken, the salad on the side was pretty poor, great chunks of red onion, sliced tomatoes just dumped on the plate! Thought it was expensive for what it was.
We had a 2 starters (salmon and prawns), lamb biriyani, Kerala fish curry and jaipuri chicken with rice. Starters were mediocre, fish curry bland, Chicken good and Biriyani excellent. The venue itself was lovely and the staff quick and attentive. I wanted it to be brilliant overall but the food didn’t do it justice this time around, especially not given the price. Would I go back, perhaps in a year to see if things have improved. My advice to management, trust that the palette of your customers can handle the taste of authentic Indian food, the Kerala fish curry could be so much better if you were bolder. Given the professionalism on show and the brilliance of the lamb biriyani I am sure they can and will improve.
First visit for lunch for 3 people. On!y us dining so little atmosphere but service and food very good. A little bit pricey but highly recommended by us all.
Excellent service and great food. Will definitely be going back. Couldn’t fault anything. Presentation was also lovely and the restaurant cosy. Look forward to going back.
Very nice food, and good service. The interior decoration of the restaurant is top notch. So beautiful that it makes you enjoy the food even more. Great place to entertain your guests and for special occasions.
Excellent service and food. A cut above the standard Indian restaurants in Beckenham. We really hope they succeed in bringing an up market restaurant to the area.
Excellent lunch with very pleasant and helpful service. The quality of the food is top class. The great shame was that the restaurant was nearly empty so little atmosphere. We would definitely recommend and also return in the near future!
I've eaten here a few times now and the food and service have always been excellent. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to eat here again.
A lovely restaurant, really lovely food, very attentive staff. And thank you for having vegan options marked. Although a couple more vegan small dishes would be lovely.
Good food and attentive staff. I did want to have the candle lit on my table but apparently not yesterday?! I don’t know how the day of the week should make a difference. The candles smelt lovely when lit the last time I went. Took my friend for a retirement dinner and wanted her to have the same experience as I did last weekend . Lovely environment and will definitely return and recommend it again.
Started of well when shown to table. The staff were over attentive on the night and kept coming back to the table every 3 mins, would you like to order ... this happened probably 8 times with different staff which was annoying when trying to chat. Our starters arrived and we all commented on the quality and taste of the food and were excited for our mains. The mains were bland and no heat at all, in fact I’d actually question if my korma had paneer in it as it was cheesy. My friend asked for additional chillis for her fish curry to spice it up but they arrived cut but seeded. They have a good gin menu which we enjoyed but personally I think their wine is over priced. They have the exact same wine as the Kelsey down the road but the Kelsey is £9.50 cheaper a bottle. The decor inside is very tasteful and has a nice colonial feel.
Couldn't rate them higher, altogether a very nice evening within the perfect surroundings. Couldn't have imagined a better place to eat for my wife and my anniversary.
Second visit in a month. Fantastic restaurant, with amazing unique food and unbelievable warm and efficient service. Will keep coming back until I've tried everything on the menu!
Overall a very disappointing experience.Had to send back my meal twice and and my friend ended up eating alone.Service was quite slow and service charge was added to the bill despite the fact we had complained. The manager reluctantly agreed to remove it. Won't be returning.
Wonderful food with very fresh ingredients. A varied menu which includes a tasting menu. Great venue, great price. The service was pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended.
Great evening spent at Chokha with friends. Food was delicious and service was very good and friendly. Restaurant has a very good ambience. Will look forward to our next visit.
It is Really nice place. Friendly staff and good food. The wine list was varied enough. Strange popadoms though - More like prawn crackers imho
