Tucked away down Mawdsley Street, a trip to Ciao Napoli will allow you to escape Bolton for a while and retreat to Naples with its cosy setting and authentic Mediterranean cuisine. From homemade pizzas to market-fresh seafood dishes, whether its for lunch or dinner, Ciao Napoli’s menu features an array of Mediterranean classics, with plenty of vegetarian options too. We recommend starting with some funghi gorgonzola (sauteed mushrooms in a garlic, white wine and gorgonzola cheese sauce) before moving on to a succulent steak like the filetto al pepe, a prime fillet steak cooked with red wine, peppercorn, brandy and a touch of cream. Finish off with a traditional Italian dessert like the homemade tiramisu or panna cotta – bellissimo!
A regular lunch time visitor to Ciao Napoli and never disappointed with the standard of service and the choice and quality of the food and drink
Lovely food and service even though restaurant full and busy for our party of 5. Would go here again and definitely recommend. Close to bars and clubs.
The food was great, as it has been every time I've visited. We had the best risotto we'd ever tasted. The service was pretty good too. However - there was a slight dampener on the evening. Although we had booked a table for 6pm and were shown to a specific table when the restaurant was fairly empty, we were told, just prior to ordering the desserts )at anout 6.45), that our table was needed at 7pm for regular customers who always insisted on the same table. As it turned out, we were having a pre-theatre meal so didn't want to hang around anyway and the regulars didn't turn up on time - but it gave us a feeling of unease and also made us not feel like valued costumers - at least not as valuable as the regulars. This is a shame because I always recommend Ciao Napoli as the best place to eat in Bolton - particularly for pre-Octagon dinners.
