Always like coming here: pleasant staff and generally very good food. Three of us had the set lunch which didn't reach great heights on this occasion but was just OK. It won't stop us coming again.

My wife, Liz and I had an excellent lunch and were delighted with the very attentive service. The food well- presented and delicious. The tapas starters were tasty and the paella unctious. We will be back again soon.

Very good restaurant, a bit inattentive on service side, but food and ambience trump it. The paella is fantastic, the deserts are nicely more than the usual and prices are fair

Realky excellent food, efficient service, excellent wine list plus opportunities to sit outside in this elegant area of Central London. What's not to like like?

Great food and friendly service. The tapas menu always good and then bigger dishes if that is your thing. Can get full and noisy but if the weather is good there is always outside!

Very nice Spanish restaurant, with an amazing seafood paella. We shared 6 tapas in 4 people before having the main, and they were all good. Also the sangria jug was interesting.

Friendly, efficient, EXCELLENT food. Great atmosphere. The restaurant was unexpectedly short staffed, but the service remained very good, very friendly. All diners were cared for and very happy, despite a busy Sunday lunch. We will certainly return.

Great food and service in charming street. The seafood paella is unbeatable and the tapas on offer for the £19 Sunday lunch are excellent as were the desserts.

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Marisco (seafood) Paella and marisco Fidegua are for me their best dishes. This now a classic place for us where to go with friends

Service was slow and the atmosphere was non-existent. They also do this awful thing of adding the service charge on the bill as standard. I know a lot of restaurants do this but come on, at least make sure 1) your service is not slow 2) your waiters/ waitresses know what the food on your menu is like (my waitress couldn't advise on a dish) 3) your restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere (no music in the place, bare walls with no decor) 4) you actually welcome us when we enter your restaurant Food was very good but sick and tired of restaurants expecting a service charge when the service is nowhere near deserving this.

We chose tapas as starters which was ok. For mains my guest had bream which looked fine but I had a truly awful seared tuna - copmpletely tasteless with what might well have been a tin of french onion soup poured over it - horrible.

Lovely restaurant with tasty tapas and great Rioja. My one complaint would be that there were too many tables packed into the tiny upstairs restaurant.....The chap at the next table didn't realise he was using my head as a resting place for his coat.

First, full marks as they were v helpful as I booked the wrong week, but they squeezed us in anyway! Have been here on and off for many years, since it opened, being close to my former work. Lots of things for a piscatarian and full vegetarians. We had one of each. We had tapas, which suited. Interesting wines from the Basque region. Not too expensive. A very successful evening.

The food was excellent save from a small amount of shell in the crab and scallop dishes. It was a Christmas lunch but drunk guests exacerbated the poor acoustics. My guess is that this level of noise is flying in the face of health and safety for the staff but many restaurants seem to suffer from it. Our host has tinnitus which was difficult. Having said that I'd certainly go back at a quieter time.

It was a very busy Saturday night, and it was clear the staff were struggling to cope. However, we chose from the Xmas special tapas menu, and enjoyed some excellent new dishes. Cigala remains one of our favourite restaurants in the heart of Bloomsbury.

The food was fresh as it was lunchtime, no feeling of reheated food. Inventive and filling. I strongly recommend Cigala. Also Lamb's Conduit Street which is one of London's best and most secret shopping streets.

Decentish food. Mrs Y had the set menu which came with the rarest lamb I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I like my meat rare but bleating on the plate is a bit too much even for me. My tapas was decent. Pud was abut minimalistic to say the least. Dense Almond cake with a sniff of cream - tasty but not earth shattering. Overall a decent place but compared to Mancunian outlets knocking out top notch Spanish grub- barely comparable- sorry to say!
