Excellent tapas & amazing desserts, with great sherry accompaniment but really expensive... The service however was really good ... Sunday seems to be a bit of a quiet day, no need to book - so best day to go!

Great food with s broad selection of dishes. Wine was good and we chose a 500 ml carafe of Rioja. The service was friendly and relaxed . Has the atmosphere and bustle of a backstreet local restaurant in Valencia.

I think Cigala is a great restaurant, but on this occasuion it failed. Service was unattentive, waiting staff avoided all eye contact, and miss-recorded orders. We had to wait 55 mins for a paella (30 mins on the menu), it was burnt and for two people, we ordered one. No apology offered.

What initially seemed like a quiet little understated venue turned out to be an excellent Spanish restaurant with a cool buzzy feel. Steeped in an overall authenticity to the cuisine and the surroundings, it was my first visit to Cigala but not my companions who were very happy to return when I told them of my booking it. We shared a number of tapas plates with Sherry and Red Wine accompaniments. After devouring everything we moved on to a heavenly mixed platter of deserts. I am sure I'm late to discovering Cigala on one of London's coolest streets - Lamb Conduit, but I'm glad I've found it now.

The starter is ok. The main course is too large. we asked one person's portion. But they gave two person's portion. Easy booking, and comfortable environment!

Fun and very good food. Lively atmosphere; pleasant service ; excellent value set lunch. On the down side: very noisy and the ginger ice cream was disappointing.

The staff shoud watch customers more carefully whether they need some help or not. When I would like to order something, I had to walk to around the kitchen.

Excellent service. Saturday lunchtime. A bit quiet. Generous portions, wish I'd gone for the sea bass rather than the paella as it was huge .

With a pleasant atmosphere and eclectically good Mediterranean Spanish food, this restaurant offers a rustic and provincial Spanish cuisine that few other places provide. Decor is plain and you'll look hard to find any of the usual Iberian kitsch. Combined with a striking wine list that reaches beyond the usual rioja-a-go-go, you're in for a culinary delight. All that keeps it short of perfection is that the service could be a bit sharper.

Food was great, service was just right. The arroz negro was amazing, as was the sea bream. Vermouth was very good. A great find, I'll be returning.

Wonderful food. Delightful services and atmosphere. In reverse order, aromatic coffee, evocative leche fritta, perfect lentils, fragrant stuffed artichokes, toothsome deep-fried fennel ... you get the picture; the kind of Tapas, where every dish is a world to itself. This is one of the great London restaurants. But don't go if you want glitz, glamour, or some kind of pretentious eating experience. This is pure food, and it's like being at home .

Wonderful food, friendly service, gorgeous restaurant in a great location, have been here a few times and it's always lovely. Their set lunch menu is a great deal...but you just have to order extra padron peppers!

The food was amazing but we had a rather moody waitress. She spilled wine twice while pouring it and didn't even think of apologising. I'd give top marks to everything except the service of this particular waitress.

The starters are generous and very delicious. You could almost just order a selection of them and feel full but then you would be missing the astounding paella. On this occasion we were too full for pudding which was a shame but there is always next time! Lovely service too.

Bit disappointed when compared with other visits. I was a little bit late arriving (20:40) but several of the main course dishes were already off the menu. I ended up with my third choice. None of the wonderful homemade bread either

Cigala is always an excellent place for lunch - the tapas or set lunch is perfectly sized, meaning that you eat well (and very authentically) but emerge well-set for the afternoon. Good, straightforward Spanish cooking.

Food was good. Not brilliant like some other tapas places I've been to. The ambience was ok too. Couldn't sit outside as there was scaffolding on the outside area and was about 25 degrees. However, would go back for a business lunch. I do think that the prices were a little OTT for the size of the dishes especially comparing to some places in and around Charlotte St.
