City Harbour

Did what we wanted, meal chosen, eaten and off to our next event in good time. Toilets were a bit ropey.

Meats were good, sauces generally watery and tasteless. Overall it was ok.

Bit confusing when telling staff I reserved a table didn’t seem to know

Food served buffet style but unfortunately bland tasting. The servers were efficient in clearing the tables but looked unhappy and did not smile. There was a lot of noise mostly caused by the managers (loud shouting & laughter). Atmosphere was like a school cafeteria. Could do better in view of the picturesque location on City Quay.

Was a bit dissapoi Ted there were no satay sticks and with overall selection. The desserts were Terrible. However the food was really good. Large party in was very noisy.

enjoyed visit as was for my daughter's 16th birthday, food was good in general but space tight when going round, ice cream machine a bit sloppy and custard tonight tasted a bit burned and he little cakes a bit stale. toilets are needing a makeover . Staff all very friendly and polite

Staff were very friendly and attentive! Huge variety of food and a great atmosphere! Even played a Happy birthday song whilst carrying my Son’s birthday cake to the table! Thank you City Harbour- see you again soon.

Nice staff, good food. Nice place to go and relax, enjoying the harbour view.

Lovely food and waiting staff very quick at clearing our used plates.

We are regular visitors to City Quay and have never really found anything to complain about, except for tonight. We were a party of five adults and one child, and the only things that we found palatable were the desserts. Regardless of what each adult chose to eat it was so salty that it was difficult to eat. It really spoilt our evening.

Excellent food, good service, but perhaps some of the staff could have worn clean clothes or aprons as more than 2 of them had food down their uniforms

The food was good but I’m afraid the toilets were disgusting.

I had requested table at the window due to guests b'day & we were not disappointed. Great selection of food & was delighted to see a fresh fruit salad & melon as a Dessert option. Will definitely be back !!!

The restaurant was spacious and the staff are very friendly and hard working. The food itself for the buffet is severely lacking and the taste is average at best. I am comparing this to Cosmo and China Red which may be unfair but in modern times you have to continuously progress or be left behind! 5.5 out of 10

Me and my mum ate here while staying in Dundee at apex hotel. Lovely food fresh portions put out regular service was good - would recommend good value for money.

Family friendly, clean with a good selection for all. We've been many times to this buffet as the kids love to be able to choose for themselves what goes on their plate. Can try something not sure of and go back for more of it's a hit! Friendly and attentive staff too

Not as wide a selection of food as other places and could do with a bit of an upgrade inside with the decor. Gave it a 4 as the food was still nice.

Food very fresh and amazing service very good I would recommend to any one who loved Chinese to go there I will be going there again soon

Great restaurant. We went on Fri night as part of my hen night and my fiancé went Sat night as part of his stag night. We both love this place. Only criticism is they are too quick to whip your plate away. I was chatting to one of my hen party, turned back and my plate was gone despite there still being food on my plate.

The restaurant has a good location with nice views. The service was very efficient and the food of an adequete standard I felt for what it was it was somewhat over priced.

Good selection of dishes. Plenty of each regularly topped up as quite busy. Only small issue was they did not clear our dirty plates away without asking them to take them away. Waffles were too hard to eat.

Food very bland, starters basic. Sorry but couldn’t give it any higher rating as it didn’t live up to previous reviews. I love Chinese food cooked properly and this just didn’t do it for me or my family.

A bit dissapointing going at 3pm as they wind things down at 4.00 for eveing setting, just scraps left on some things,none of others and no dessert spoons at all by 4pm, no staff wanting to engage with customers at that time But the food that was there was good, very busy and noisy

Excellent selection of food and not all dried out, the premises are nice and clean and have a lovely family feel to it, a real little hidden gem
