This is, of course, Côte Brasserie, and this one opposite the Barbican Centre on Whitecross Street next to the Golden Lane Estate is one of our favourites. It’s an elegant, stylish and relaxing family restaurant, as well as place for business meetings or any special occasion that requires a spot of private dining. The private rooms available at this Côte are as charming as the main restaurant with bespoke service and some delicious set menus and canapés.

No matter the time of day you can be sure everything that leaves the kitchen here at the Barbican Côte Brasserie will be of the highest quality. The breakfast menu is light and refreshing while the lunch and a la carte menus are laced with intense flavours. Start with chicken liver parfait complemented by a spiced apple chutney, then consider beef bourguignon or baked crêpes with wild mushrooms, spinach and Gruyère cheese - both classics of the French Kitchen.
