Superb service. Andrew the manager was simply amazing offering a truly professional experience nothing was to much trouble making our experience even more personal as it was my birthday.. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Thank you

Very pleased with our night out. Food fantastic and issue with 1 meal dealt with very courteously and professionally. Social distancing mostly good. Crunch point around narrow staircase to toilets. In other places we've seen restrictions in such areas.

It was great to have Cote open again. We were warmly welcomed back by the manager and treated to excellent, friendly service as ever. The food was up to it's normal wonderful standard and we left relaxed and happy. Great night out.

Cote reopened after lockdown and we returned and weren’t disappointed. Great service. Lovely smiling welcoming kind staff. Fantastic food.

Service was acceptable but not brilliant. Difficult to hear what the waitress was saying because of the face shield. The food was very enjoyable. Because of the hard surfaces in the room, the ambient noise levels are high.

What can I say but fabulous as always. Really enjoyed our meal & service was great too

We were excited to be attending Cote on its first day after Lockdown. I am afraid it was quite a disappointment the food and I am afraid to say the service was some what off par. My wife’s dinner looked like it was thrown in the plate and we had to ask for the sauce which had been missed. Overall I am afraid to say we will not be rushing back which is a shame as we used to visit weekly.

First time back since lockdown as they have just reopened, the waitress recognised us and welcomed us back, food and service, great as always.

This is a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food is always to a high standard. Very nice wines on offer. It is also family friendly, we have brought our toddler on occasion.

So embarrassing having indercooked chicken served to our invited friend who’d never been there before! However, we appreciated your apology, the bill adjustment and vouchers. We still find the Bishop’s Stortford restaurant to be far too noisy and have no plans to return.

Beautiful food, beautiful wine. Usually 5 stars. Never had any problems before but my partners steak looked half the size of the rest of the table's but they told us that the steaks are weighed. They offered to take back the steak and do another one but everyone's food was already on the table.

I would like to thank you so much, my friend had a great birthday breakfast and the staff made the experience even better. The vegetarian sausage are incredible, I'm not a veggie myself so was impressed how good they are! I will definitely use Cote again in the future. Thank you again

Used our £100 voucher following our bad experience on news years eve. Very happy with experience last night. Many thanks. We will return. Restaurant is a little draughty when the front door is opening and when the rear fire exit door is opened. Could you fit a warm air curtain?

We went to Cote recently for a night out, to catch up with each other as we had not seen each other to spend quality time together for a few weeks. It is often a overlooked restaurant in Bishop's Stortford, that serves great food and the wine list is by far and away the best in a restaurant in the area. Food came quickly, it wasn't too noisy so we could talk effortlessly and is was a positive visit all round.

The food was excellent as was the service we recieved Thankyou very much We would most definetly recomend Cote to our friends ane will be returning agin in the very near future

Service was very very slow in spite of restaurant not being full and others receiving their food more quickly we had to ask where ours were. My sister had the minute steak which was over cooked and tough. There was no garnish either. When she ordered a salad this was wilted and past it’s sell by date!

Food ok but lacking in drink selection unless you like wine. Main meal selection limited and getting unjustifiably more expensive each time we go. Had requested nice romantic table for special meal when booked but was offered a selection of 3 ‘anything but romantic ‘tables after it became clear they didn’t have our booking. Service was ok.

Service was slow but it was Mothers day so very busy however bill was reduced without asking as compensation which was good management . Food was good.

Very average Had to wait a while to be seated even though an empty restaurant Staff pleasant No obvious sign of restaurant manager Which just shows I had a willing but nervous waiter Boudin noir and mussels not available mwhivb was a shame We had a lovely cocktail to Start but confusion with our wine order The atmosphere was not familiar . I'm a local and that familiarity and welcoming feel is no longer there The wait was not long to be served dinner from point of order but it was a pretty average dining experience I'm sorry to say this and I say it with a lot of regret .

Nice relaxed bistro, nice location. Sadly, moule frites was very disappointing and had to be returned. Mussels were absolutely tiny and 3/4 of shells were empty. That being said, the restaurant happily exchanged this for the poulet grille and didn't charge for mussels or replacement dish. Poulet grille was absolutely amazing! Sauce, herbs, mushrooms, seasoning all very much on point. We will definitely visit again.

Wow!!!!!! What a friendly and warm welcome....we signed up to the newsletter and you guys gave us a free bottle of wine because of it..excellent staff, nothing was to much trouble. Clean restaurant and lavatories as well....we'll be going back.

Service and food quality is getting worse at this branch. You do not seem to be able to keep a team together. Last night's meal was marked by poor service, a lack of attention to detail and improper presentation of main course dishes. The new service staff seemed to be lacking in training. I will be looking for another quality venue.

The smoke detector went off while we were having our meal. Staff made no attempt to apologies!! The restaurant smelt of smoke!! Rather a disappointing experience. This is a shame as normally staff are very friendly and attentive. We paid the bill and staff did not even say “good bye”
