We had a lunch there with good friends, the atmosphere and seating is good, staff are attentive but the food is not what I expected. Vegetarian only have one option and it is not a tasty meal. Mine beef was ok but again nothing special. Shame! Cause we expected more. Desserts were also boring. Sadly to say we won't come back. The 12% "optional" tips was added, I do resent paying it. The whole meal is not worth the extra but of course it's too awkward to ask for it to be taken off. Guess that's how your company work otherwise you probably won't get any tips. Overall feel very disappointed, potentially a nice restaurant but perhaps need to change your chef and your tipping policy.

Stopped in for supper and was, as usual, not disappointed. Staff as great as ever, food exactly as described and came away completely satisfied. Recommended dessert: Coupe Noir - simple and delicious (smile nicely and ask for nuts to be added for extra hit!).

Excellent food, very busy for a Sunday evening so they must be doing things right. Only criticism is the 12.5 pc service charge on everything, about time this was stamped out.

Food and service absolutely amazing. Celebrating my birthday and could not have picked a better venue. Credit to the staff working there who work so hard. We had appetisers, starters and mains and thoroughly enjoyed by us all

Really enjoyed the food and it's a lovely restaurant but it did feel a little as though other groups were being prioritised. They were very busy but a couple of things were forgotten and there was an error on our bill.

We had a reasonably pleasant dining experience at Cote in Clifton Village. The ambiance and atmosphere was good and the quality of the food was generally good. However, my mum ordered the lamb rump and found it to be rather chewy and tough which was disappointing. Despite this, my meal of demi poulet and my brother's meal of boeuf bourginon were of a good quality. The waiter and waitress dealt with this well though, as they offered my mum a complimentary pudding which was a nice touch for Mothers Day. We shall be back again soon hopefully.

Enjoyed our visit for lunch- table was located just where we had asked. The waitress was very pleasant and made our visit just perfect-well done.

Côte Brasserie in the heart of Clifton welcome you in in a relaxed atmosphere. Lean back and enjoy a piece of France with excellent food and better service than in most restaurants in France. :-)

As usual Côte was very busy but we were greeted by a smiling face. The food, wine and service was excellent. When we asked for the bill it came promptly and we were on our way. This Côte is consistently good. Well done to everybody concerned.

Good service, good food one thing I think the 12.5% service charge is far too much at lunch who does it go to? I would want to tip at my discretion.

We were a party of 7 on Valentine’s night. We had an excellent meal. Very good service. Enjoyed the wine pairings. The guys were all impressed with their fillet steaks. We all loved the prawn Gratinee and the creme caramel.

Our first visit to the Cote at Clifton. It had a smashing buzzy atmosphere and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly . We will return !

Tried the new March menu, prawn starter and monkfish for main. Both excellent but a potato side with the monkfish would of made it better value. My husband had the fish pie, again a side veg would of been good. Enjoyed the complementary G&T cocktail offer that I booked online. Restaurant was very busy but staff very attentive.

I would have given you a 5 but was very disappointed with choice of beers I was offered. I generally do not drink wine so instead had water. We were celebrating a birthday and I thought that you would have had a much better selection

As always food was very good but would have liked the pork belly to be crispier! Very generous portions for a lunch menu. Staff very friendly and overall good value for money.

Very pleasant, efficient staff and lovely that they did as I requested and put us in a quieter part of the restaurant. Absolute bliss that there was no piped music to compete with, at all ! The food was generally tasty and good, though the asparagus risotto was disappointing - over cooked rice and lacking in flavour. Sea bass was the best dish. It was an enjoyable outing, though, all the same.

We had a very enjoyable evening and we could not fault the food, staff and ambiance. We had a large party booked and the service was spot on. We will most definitely recommend your restaurant to friends and family and we will definitely come back again. Excellent value for money.

Great atmosphere & the staff were very efficient & friendly

A group of 8 of us visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration and we were well looked over throughout the whole of our visit. The staff are always welcoming, charming and obliging. The food was perfect too. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Everything great except one portion of whitebait had some hot but some were cold. As in a group it wasn't worth sending it back, otherwise would have.

We had a great experience with great company, the food is always amazing every time we go which is why we always go for birthdays and celebrations etc...

This was a special occasion for my Mum’s birthday. We sent our order a few days ahead but for some reason my husband’s swordfish arrived much later than everyone else’s dishes which was a bit irritating. Otherwise good service and a free Kir Royale and chocolate fondant for my Mum on her birthday. Good quality food but drinks really bump up the cost.

We have been to Cote in Clifton a few time but on Wednesday the 3rd April 2019 would be our last. nothing has changed for the past 5 years, the menu has the odd change but nothing with catches your eye. We had the so say April special where we belived it was going to be almost like a beef wellighton, what a disapointment. one small pice of puff pastry on the bottom, the meat which i can only describe as stewing beef , the odd carrort and a pice of puff pastry on the top. finished with a hand full of water cress. it was horrible. so i stongly do not recomend this dish to anyone to try. This is not the first time we have sent things back,but its a nice venue and we were hoping for improvements. Not the case.

Excellent! The staff were welcoming, patiently accommodated our quirks and were well presented. As a group of 10 we received prompt service for the whole table: everybody receiving their courses at the same time. The set menu choices offered something for everybody at very good prices. Our food was perfectly cooked and immaculately presented. Hot food was hot and cold food cold! Thank you for facilitating our celebration meal.

Waiter didn’t listen - we ordered a bottle of wine and he brought a glass - we ordered a Creme Caramel he brought a Creme Brûlée - otherwise all good .

Fantastic choices on menu! Always brilliant food and helpful staff. Cote is one of my favourite restaurants in Clifton, you can always guarantee exquisite food!

The booking process for a large group was very efficient and smooth. Really friendly and attentive staff, very good menu and wine selection. Will definitely be going there again.
