Côte Bristol Clifton Village

We've been to 6 or 7 different Cote's. This was the worst experience by a county mile. Service incredibly slow and by the time our food arrived the white wine had warmed up. Only one starter turned up initially. Both main courses luke warm. Lamb badly overcooked with somewhat unusual crispy olives. Jerusalem artichokes under-cooked and tasteless, could easily have been potato. Were offered replacements but by this time we couldn't wait any longer. The wrong pudding for one of us turned up. The bill was reduced slightly but I would much rather have had a reasonable meal. The tables were so close together that a woman on the adjacent table managed to knock some of our glasses over when trying to get between the tables to sit down. Why should there be such a variation between restaurants?

We had an amazing meal, the service was fantastic. Tibor our waiter was brilliant. Honestly we have just had one of the best meals we have had in Bristol. Thank you.

Fabulous food and service .cannot fault the whole experience. Lovely warm restaurant. Waiters are so good at their job .recommend to friends.will be back again very soon

We always enjoy dining at Cote restaurants, but particularly the one at Clifton. As usual, the staff were so kind to us and we enjoyed another delicious meal.

Great location and food but disappointing vegan option. Busy restaurant - waiting staff friendly and helpful. Quite noisy but it was a Friday evening and it’s a popular venue, would we return. Yes!

Amazing food and service! Steak is always cooked to your liking to the perfection. Our all times favourite restaurant which is always clean and accommodating with excellent food choices. I cant even name the favourite meals because everything is so delicious.

Good surroundings but meal size not very impressive , chose meal from Presige menu. Good service and prompt delivery. . Adequate choice on menu with good wine choice .

Excellent service, every course superb, lovely free cocktail, all under £50 for 2. Would particularly commend French Onion soup and Belly of Pork.

Slow initial order taking, drinks OK but we then waited to give our food order. The table service and meal was excellent. An extremely wide set of menu options giving a great choicecof dishes. Our selections were delicious. Thank you.

We were a party of four who booked at the last minute. The service was excellent and our waitreess remembered remarkably exactly what we had all eaten when it came to splitting the bill. The Boudin Noir, Duck Confrit, Eggs Benedict, and Sea Bream were excellent and the complimentary Martini Blood Orange was nice surprise. The only problem was the noise level, as it is in many restaurants. We are regular customers and we will be back.

No complaint about the food - it was very good. I would suggest, however, that your Front of House need some further training as they sat my friend and me next to a party of 20+. We had to ask to be moved half way through our meal as we couldn’t hear each other - and even at the far end of the restaurant we could still hear the large party. With any thought we could have been seated there in the first place.

We always enjoy our trips to Cote Clifton and Friday was no exception. The food and wine were very good and reasonably priced. The staff are always attentive and efficient

As usual we had wonderful food, a lovely setting and great service. It was my husband's birthday and, although we did not have sweets, a chocolate mousse with a candle was brought in, which I thought was delightful thouht.

Lovely meal as always. Very polite , efficient staff. Perfect lunch treat for my partner’s birthday.

Thursday night, very pleasant staff and fairly good service although we had to wait about 10 minutes before we were asked about drinks. The spinach and mushroom crepes were disappointing. The food tasted as though it had been made some time before and then heated up. The crepes were tasteless.

Lovely evening with great service and good food. The set menu was excellent value for money and everything our party ordered was very tasty and nicely presented!

Wonderful to be served a complimentary drink on arrival for our special occasion. Food was DELICIOUS. Staff were all lovely and professional. A great evening was had!

A first class meal with excellent service. We shall definitely be returning. In our party we chose from both the set menus - no one was disappointed.

A very friendly restaurant with quick, efficient service. We thoroughly enjoyed our complementary seasonal drink. The waitress was attentive but didn’t keep interrupting our conversation. All in all it was a very pleasant dining experience.

Lovely food and very good service. Only slight issue was it was very hot where we sat. All in all however a lovely meal.

It was a great atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Food was really nice, from starter through to our sweet. Isaac one of our waiters was a pleasure to have looking after us. Will return again soon.

A lovely Mother's Day lunch in Clifton. The staff were incredibly busy but attentive nonetheless. The food was delicious and coeliac guests were catered for carefully.

Ordered vegetarian brunch. Avocado was hard, bacon overcooked, otherwise ok.

Great place to dine out in Clifton village, the combination of food quality, ambience and value keeps us coming back time and again. Feels special, but relaxed.

Lovely breakfast, good table, excellent service as normal, very good value, a bit noisy but that's not the fault of the restaurant.

What a wonderful place and how clever they are, as a company, to keep up the quality in this chain. Tarteflette and Boudin sausage were the specials for the month - so we had to go. Perfect! What was so special was I wanted a double portion of Boudin - to starters as a main. The chef beautifully arranged my order on a bigger plate. A true professional!

Fantastic experience yet again. We can not fault Côte at Clifton. We have dined here many times and never had a bad meal, great food , great service and a great ambience. Having eaten here the last two nights we might need to go on a diet next week !!

Generally very good. It was a very busy Sunday with a large group just behind us so enevitably it was quite loud.Food was tasty. Service could have been a tad faster but no real problems to speak of. Reasonably good value for money.

Booked for a Mother’s Day treat and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic (great fougasse and créme caramel!), service impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Always like our lunches here. It suits us well. I'd love the waiters to look over at our table more though. We usually wait between courses & for the bill but I know I'm usually in a rush so probably more about me!

We booked a table for 8 people. The service and atmosphere was good - as always. The only surprise was that the 3 people who had steak and chips had to return it to the kitchen as it was tough! First time that's happened to us....and we are regular visitors. Would come again as always looked after.

The service was very friendly as usual and the food was cooked to perfection. We had duck that was just pink and full of flavour, we also had pork that was very tender and tasty.

Always a pleasure to visit Côte, Clifton. Professional, pleasant service. Consistently good food and the set menus are particularly good value. Really enjoyed the non-alcoholic gin cocktail and seasonal menu.

Great atmosphere, food and service. Food very good, although one of the puddings had been in the fridge too long and the pastry had dried out leaving the lemon filling stranded. However, not charged for the failed dessert and we left having enjoyed a relaxing evening.
