Great place to eat, staff friendly polite and efficient. Food was very good. No pressure to eat up and go. So all in all a great meal.
The food was amazing but the service was terrible. We were waiting for a while for us to get the correct menu, we had food that we did not order on our bill and when we walked in I had to tell 3 different people that I have booked a table before we even got seated. Plus the fire alarm went off at least 5 times while we were there.
Whitebait were greasy and not "crisp". Sea bream was unavailable. Breaded chicken was very oily. Hachis parmentier contained large bits of inedible gristle. Desserts OK.
I have been in restaurants where items on the menu could not be provided due to popularity of the dish but I have never arrived for a restaurant booking to be turned away because the gas had run out and they could no longer cook food! Disappointing for the 7 of us and not quite expected from Cote Brasserie which has always been very good. Will not be put off going back but for this occasion I have to rate it as very poor.
Excellent service tonight and everybody enjoyed their meals. The table was ok but with 8 people it was tricky for the people at the to get out from the end. As the restaurant was far from full the tables could have been centralised to make an easier exit.
Table of four and we all ate from the early evening menu. Excellent food, very good price and exceptional service. This is the best place to eat in Canterbury regardless of price and have never been disappointed.
A very welcoming restaurant food well presented hot and tasty. Would definitely go again in the near future.A great place to meet friends and relatives
Fabulous food, everyone had a different main and each raved that there's was the best, great service and really nice ambience. Looking forward to our next visit!
The staff were friendly and efficient, everything was clean, the food was lovely so we had a relaxing meal. It's a long climb to the toilets!!
Everything was perfect : service, food, ambiance. French nationality I wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while. I can say that my expectations was fulfilled.
Always excellent service and excellent food in Cote Canterbury! I can't rate them highly enough! Very attentive but not over bearing, food always arrives quickly even when it's packed. Good variety of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Lovely mother's day meal; unfortunate problem in kitchen meant lights were out & fire alarm went off repeatedly. However, staff coped brilliantly. Will go again
Very prompt and efficient service,we were greeted and seated straight away. Our waiter was extremely nice and our food was served quickly. We had the crepes which were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it.
Lovely new menu, really enjoyed our meal. Table near the door so a bit drafty. Excellent service as were going to the theatre afterwards. Thanks.
We have frequently eaten at Cote in St Katharine Docks it was really good to find the food was to the same high standard and the staff very attentive and friendly. We would not hesitate in recomending this branch and indeed have taken various friends there
Had a fabulous meal with very good service but! This is the second time I have booked u sing the loyalty programme, Rewards. Both times I have requested a particular table for lunch and both times now I have arrived to find that people having breakfast were occupying the table. We were given another table but 10 minutes later our table was clear and given to the next couple to walk in. I don't think Rewards means anything if I can't reserve a favourite table. Next time I'll take pot luck or go elsewhere.
The service was at best “patchy”. We had warm welcome and drinks arrived on schedule, but thereafter our server was hard to find when needed. One of our number ordered moules provencal as a starter and spaghetti alla marinera as a main course. The seafood component of the latter seemed mainly to be the same mussels as he had in his starter. A good waiter might have warned of this. We shall go back again but today's experience was rather disappointing.
The food was very good (plenty of choice too) and the staff were friendly and obliging. Although I had booked for two, there was no problem in changing it to four. A very pleasant experience! A pity about the climb up two floors (44 steps) to get to the toilet!
Excellent food Charming and helpful Staff. Service efficient and friendly and they were very patient when we spilt water over the menus and then broke a glass
Staff are excellent, perfect amount of attentiveness mixed with humour. Use this restaurant fairly regularly and the food is always good and well prepared. A buzzy atmosphere and even though part of a chain it doesn't feel like it.
As always cote canterbury was great...we are local so know them well... service always good and very friendly.. have a booking with them for friday this week...again...soo good

Super place, would recommend :-) Free water with meals, lovely staff, super value if you do a Mon-Fri 12-7 set menu offer. Interior very nice, toilets on top floor though!!
Always reliable - tasty food, well cooked. nice drop of Merlot. Polite and efficient service. One of my favourite Canterbury restaurants. All it needs to make it perfect is a car Park! Sadly, not a hope!
Lovely menu so much to choose from! Our whole experience from start to finish was 1st class. Recommend the seafood pasta just yummy. Finished with the creme caramel 😀
Excellent food and quietly courteous service; this is a restaurant to which I shall return. The bourguignon was cooked perfectly, smoky and rich in flavour.
we had a lovely evening good food and great staff. It was excellent that we were upstairs as downstairs was very noisy which we would have found annoying
Always fabulous food, brilliant smiley service, and a great house red! This place never fails to deliver. We always have the set menu which is great value for money.
Excellent meal. We were in a hurry because we were going to the theatre and they did everything they could to speed up the service. Food was excellent and service spot on. Next time we make sure we can take our time!
beautiful food and staff and the deserts amazing i recommended to all the people this lovely restaurant hop so and other people can enjoy there like haw i enjoy
Enjoyed the menu service good.Toilets clean and smart but up 3 flights of stairs.Waiter very helpful about bringing bill as we needed to be at the theatre for 7.30pm
Always a pleasure to eat here. Staff are always welcoming and polite. Service is never too long and food is tasty. Would certainly recommend to others.
Really good restaurant very consistent, very good service, good food always enjoy the experience. I don't want to recommend to others as I like my window seat!
The food was hot, came on time and tasted as expected. We were given a lovely seat by the window withought being cramped and the waitress was very polite, attentive and conversational-didn't quite get her name but she had short blonde hair and cool eye shadow!
Excellent service and ambience in restaurant. Good value for money menu choice. Need to be aware that a 12.5% gratuity is added to bill. Can be removed on request
Always good service. Iteresting menu, good choice for a pre theatre dinner with the family would choose this restaurant again. Nice polite staff. Thank you
As usual meal was fine. Service was good and the food was nicely cooked. There was a slight problem with the bill but it was soon sorted out.
Nice relaxed Sunday lunchtime meal with family. Attentive service without being pushy although the restaurant was fairly bustling with Bank Holiday diners and a good range of choices on the a la carte. We use this branch quite regularly and will continue to do so.
Always fantastic service, food delicious and great wine. The prix fix menu is always a winner! Can never go wrong with the steak frites. Highly recommend.
A great lunch in a great atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated and served in a timely manner, not too fast or too slow. We had 2 completely different main courses which were served perfectly. Not easy when one was Lamb shank and the other was Haddock, which my wife said was perfect. A great new restaurant which will do very well in the future. We will be back.
AS ON PREVIOUS OCCASIONS THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THE SERVICE VERY WELCOMING. OUR REQUEST TO SIT UPSTAIRS WAS QUICKLY ORGANISED AND WAS THE DELIVERY OF OUR FREE BOTTLE OF WINE TO THE TABLE. LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT.
We went for dinner pre-theatre. The food was good, as anticipated and the service was excellent- unhurried and efficient with just the right gap between courses. It's not always like that in other branches in Covent Gsrden!
It was our first visit to Cote Brasserie for an evening meal, having only been for breakfast/coffee previously. It was fantastic. The food was superb and the staff were very pleasant and extremely professional - opened the wine at the table which seems to be a thing of the past in most restaurants we have visited. We will certainly be back to try something different on their extensive menu. We had steak which was succulent but I did have difficulty choosing as the menu was so good. Compliments to the chef as the steak was cooked perfectly. The starter menu was also extensive and everything on it sounded good! I also enjoyed my peppermint tea at the end of the meal - not everyone wants coffee late in the evening and I do like a 'real' coffee which was enjoyed by the rest of our party. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Food very good, choice good. Service friendly but very slow had to ask for everything e.g. Drinks, sweet menu, bill, please clear the table etc. Asked for table with wheelchair space but not saved for us.
Delightful atmosphere and location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food of good standard plus quality. Extremely busy, so advisable to book, especially on their rewards website.

Food very good but the service was rather slow and we had to remind the staff to bring our bottle of wine. However Cote Brasserie is a favourite and we would go again
Always well received by friendly and attentive staff and food always good but if there is any criticism last evening's steak could have been slightly warmer. However, I shall be back!
Very friendly service and good food. A smiley welcome, drinks order taken quickly. Helpful guidance through menu and wine recommendation. Food came in good time. Overall a very good experience.
Very welcoming, goats cheese salad could have more goats cheese and less lettuce leaves and wide dish rather than deep bowl as dressing all at the bottom.
Great service and lovely food. Steak cooked perfectly. Frites were delicious. Yummy crepe with chocolate and praline with bananas. Went to the Marlowe after and as a Friend of got 2 free kir royales.
Water was off which is no ones fault. The hostess however chatted in full view to a waitress for 5 minutes before coming to tell us. We had been waiting by then 10 minutes
