Lovely friendly staff, a complimentary cocktail and delicious food! What’s not to like?
Dishes not as nice as at another London Cote I visited recently - I was so impressed by the latter that I chose the very same ones at Charlotte Street. Big mistake. Service wasn't too bad until trying to pay (about 3pm) - no sign of any attention for a very long time.
Good service Lots of flies and midges, crumbs in the seats and very limited vegetarian choices for food and salads. The service was good and the staff were lovely
Waiter rather ebullient but efficient Food a little disappointing to be honest compared to what we normally get at Cote. The salad with the salmon fillet was pretty horrible; the fennel inedible.
Overall, we had a good time, helped in part by the quietness that made conversation so much easier. The food was up to standard, the service friendly. Unfortunately there were three occasions when we had a long wait for service (dessert, coffee, the bill), but fortunately we were in no hurry.
Fabulous as always!! Great staff and food, will definitely return
The rating for noise levels was due to us being quite loud in a quiet restaurant (due to Co-Vid keeping people away)
Great quality food and excellent service. Love the Charlotte st branch
Very nice friendly staff who were very efficient and the good was excellent too
Food was really nice with good ingredients and tasty. Service was good though the waiter was still in training. Reasonable number of diners even though it was early evening.
My friend and I visited for a working lunch - I had the half chicken and she had a goats cheese salad. It was all totally delicious and our waiter was excellent! This was around 1.15 pm & we sat on the terrace outside. Thank you so much Cote!
Lovely birthday lunch - thank you for the complementary bubbles!
Apart from the usual noise in the evening at this restaurant, partly due to its popularity, partly due to the structure of the building, the evening was a great success. I managed to impress another of my friends with this Cote restaurant and the most fabulously friendly and efficient waiting staff and lovely maitre d'. I'll be back!
A very enjoyable evening in pleasant surroundings with good food and service.
Great food and service. We will be back. Thank you!!
An excellent evening at Cote for a hen do. Very attentive staff and lovely food.
we sat in a 3 tables small room in the back of the restaurant, despite this the noise from the adjacent corridor shape room was like being in an amplifying chamber, so noisy; the food however was good, probably the best pork belly I've had at any branch of Cote; service was unsmiling and slow from girl who took over from original plesant waiter
The service was very good and the food very enjoyable, The calamari and rib-eye steak were excellent. Some other guests were pretty noisy!! Will come again.
very noisy long narrow room, not the most convivial, food however was fine and enjoyable
Food was good staff very friendly and restaurant was clean
Whilst the food was delicious my mums starter soup was ‘warm’ as were the mashed spud in our main but we were so hungry we ate anyway as it was so tasty. The staff were very attentive. Thank you
Cote Brasserie continued to impress us with its high quality and friendly service, well prepared and appetising food and an excellent range of gluten free options. We had a very enjoyable lunch which cheered up a miserable rainy day. Many thanks to all the staff.
Fabulous food great service very relaxed, my birthday meal was delightful.
We were a group of 16 and the service was excellent, food very good, what more is there to say!
All was very nice and service was quick like we had asked for
Great breakfast and service, good value for money. Tea could have been a bit hotter
Attentive, friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price.
Service was great. The restaurant is cramped but that’s the building- they do the best with what they have.
There is a new look main a la carte menu which we had - and every course was delicious. Not cheap though. Because we had chosen the main courses we were presented with complimentary orange liqueur martinis - dangerous but delicious cocktails. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed the lovely Portuguese Maitre d' who looks more and more pleasant each time we go to this restaurant. He cannot do enough for you. We stayed for nearly three hours until the staff started to get the hoover out and put the chairs up. Sorry guys! But it was a very pleasant evening. Just the noise level remains a problem and you end up shouting to each other
Côte have nearly got it down. We ordered the pre-theatre menu having booked a table for 6.30. The menu met all our wants so there was no need to look at the a là carte. The service was very prompt, as if we were really in a hurry to get to the theatre. I explained that despite ordering from the pre-theatre menu we weren't in a hurry at all. The pace of service slowed appropriately in response. The service was just the right amount of attentiveness. The dishes tasty and interesting. The Armagnac served at a temperature that seemed perfect. The one thing I'd change is for Côte to pay attention to the provenance of their ingredients. They say nothing about it that I could see. At the least I want to know the welfare standards of the animals reared for the meat on their menus. I like that Côte ask for feedback about noise levels. The acoustics of social environments need to be designed too. But hey, first world problems.
We did have a nice time at Charlotte Street. The food was good and also the service was good.
Food excellent and friendly staff but service was a bit slow considering it was not crowded when we arrived at 16.15.
Great food, would have liked to be left alone a bit more!
Great evening, lovely food, amazing service, Early set menu selection was varied and delicious
Great meal and excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. Very enjoyable experience.
The food was absolutely fine and reasonable value for money but the waitress was clearly under trained and added nothing but frustration to the experience. For example: cleared the table after starter and put main course cutlery in a heap on the table
We did have a fab evening in Charlotte Street. Food, service everything was great!! Thanks
I am an incredibly regular visitor to this particular Cote restaurant for all the above reasons - I just keep going back for more. Unusual is the noise level on this occasion with an incredibly rowdy table next door. Fortunately, they left reasonably early and we were able to enjoy all the aspects of Cote that are always spot on.
Food wasn’t as good as usual. Smaller portions have been brought in and my pork was burnt
Mostly good but uneven service experience. Our order was taken by a server whose command of English was not the best although she definitely was trying her best to understand us. Starters intended for another table were brought to our table. The same experience occurred with our mains as well. The lamb rillettes starter was very good but would be far more enjoyable and flavourful if served lightly rather than fully chilled. The steak frites was solid as ever. I ordered a roquefort butter with the steak frites (set lunch menu) and specifically asked that the butter be heated before being served, either on the side or on the steak. Unfortunately, it arrived bone cold straight from the fridge. The Chocolate Pot was fine. I also ordered a double espresso to be served after my dessert (my dining companion elected to have his Americano served with this dessert) and the on-duty manager took this part of our order and executed our request perfectly. Cote offers excellent value/quality for the money and I am a frequent diner in other Cote restaurants. Today, the service was a little bit uneven but the kitchen was as consistent as ever. (For the avoidance of any confusion, the waiting time rating is meant to imply that there was none and we were seated immediately.)
