Côte Chester

The food, wine and service were excellent and the building is lovely. The fixed lunch menu is good value, I will definitely be returning to try some more options on the menu! 🍽

Excellent food with very friendly staff, would definately visit again. I had the belly pork which was cooked beautifully and the bread and butter brioch was amazing.

Meal wasn't quite cooked to my taste, however staff were very amenable and courteous in resolving this. Had an enjoyable evening with family in a very friendly atmosphere.

The food was excellent, the service was good. I was a bit disappointed we were offered olive and bread upon taking our seats and then charged £7.00 for this, we were a little bit misinformed there. It was a two course meal with three glasses of wine between the two of us which came to over £70. There was also an optional gratuity of 12.5% added to the bill, which in my opinion is up to the customer to decide whether the service and quality is worth whatever they feel they would like to add on. All in all, it was a nice ambience and very good food.

Our first visit to Côte Chester, and it was great to find Côte's usual high standards of food and staff, in such interesting surroundings too.

Relaxing atmosphere; great food and excellent service. Could not want for more. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Chester. Stay downstairs for the best experience.

One of the best chains on the High St because of the consistent high quality food and cooking. Good value for money and excellent service.

From entering the restaurant we were greeted with staff that were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was also vibrant and busy on a Friday evening.

Four of us eat at Cote once a month. Usually the food and service is first class and worthy of a 5 . however on the evening of Monday 9th the meals were of the usual high French standard but the waitress was somewhat lacking in communication skills,we assumed she must be new.

Have been to cote in Chester quite a few times now and am always very pleased..staff are lovely and food is amazing thank you so much

Always superb food and immaculate service. We always try to find Cote wherever we are.There's not much else to say. We will possibly eat there tomorrow.

Excellent meal and service. Great steaks just part of a really good meal. Really like Cote and this was the best one so far but we have never been disappointed.

A warm welcome from the staff preceded a pleasant evening, a tempting selection of dishes to decide between, and overall a very relaxed atmosphere. The only slight drawback is the automatic addition of 10% to the bill. It says optional but is quite misleading.

Superb food, spoiled by Manager forgetting to put our order in the system. Recovered by him comping the whole meal well done him. Will be returning.

We always book a table here when we visit Chester. Food is fabulous and very tasty and the staff are very helpful and polite, lovely warm atmosphere.

We had a lovely evening; the waitress was prompt and polite and the food served was delicious. It was reasonably priced and despite a busy evening, the service was excellent.

The wine, food and service were all outstanding. Côte Brasseries are always consistently good with friendly, well trained staff, interesting menus and very pleasant surroundings.

We really like the atmosphere in this upmarket chain. This week we called in for a pre-theatre dinner and chose the two course option from the extensive menu. The food was good and the service was a good mix of friendly and respectful. Already booked for another trip later in the month.

weve always enjoyed it here as the veggie breakfast is tasty. On the last two occasions the meal has been cold and my son's poached eggs were watery. We will probably give it one more go and then see how it goes as although it is quite good value for money it should still be a certain standard

Food was good from set menu. Not overly expensive. Initially seated in draughty area and had to ask to be moved. Waiting on staff were very attentative.

Food excellent, service the same. However, the sneaky £10 optional tip they added to my bill was infuriating. Customers should be made aware of this when the bill is presented. We ended up paying this extra £10 and tipping our waitress. Left a very sour taste!

Lovely venue with old beams and brickwork. Food was very nice but the "warm" goats cheese starter was not very warm. Apart from that all was good.

As repeat customers we are used to a superb meal here and tonight was business as usual. Why can’t all restaurants be as good as Cote. This is our default venue.

Brilliant and friendly staff. Super restaurant location and setting. Lovely decor. Lots of choice on the menu. Good rang of wines. Always love Cote however those fantastic chips are not quite as crispy as they used to be!

Once again very nice food and good service. The sea bass was delicious and the risotto was very tasty although it could have been a little hotter but all in all EXCELLENT.

Lovely food in a lovely setting. Staff very friendly and efficient. Only quibble I have is the 12.5% gratuity added on to the bill. Thought this was only common practice in London. Never experienced it in Chester before. When mentioned it was taken off immediately by staff.

Tables bit too close to each other but lovely early evening two course menu with very good food and very good service. Will be going again

Nice venue and atmosphere, we were in the lower seating area with the arched roof. Staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered a starter and main meal, both of which were good, the side orders of vegetables were nicely cooked, and the whole meal was very enjoyable. I would use this restaurant again. A young couple sitting next to us were getting uncomfortably familiar with each other but that was outside the control of staff. The bill on electronic payment had a 12.5% voluntary gratuity already added on, which I never like to see and it could be 'overlooked' by a customer. I deselected this and tipped the waitress directly as she was good and efficient. But overall I enjoyed what I think was my first visit to a Cote restaurant.

Loved it! Service and food both excellent. Catching up and chatting after our meal but we weren't rushed out after we had finished eating - even though it was a Saturday night. A very welcome addition to Chester's food scene and will definitely return.

A nice evening at Cote Chester. Food OK though perhaps not worthy of #16 on TA. Friendly service and a very good atmosphere on the Friday evening we visited. Wine seemed a bit expensive but overall good.

Yes . I always enjoy the experience at Cote . The service is always excellent . The staff are very friendly . I had the Pork belly . A slight crisis. My Pork was slightly salty . We had moules . My friend had the mushroom and spinach crepes . Lovely . Then one of us had the Creme caramel . She said it was the best she had ever had !!! I’m having that next time .😊😊😊

The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. The food was very nice, we particularly enjoyed the the flat bread with reblochon and the belly pork. We will definitely be returning.

Our server seemed to want to hurry us along. As soon as we had put our cutlery down she was wanting to take the plates away, or the glasses away - felt rushed. Food was good though.

Had a lovely meal at Coťe Chester on a Friday night with a date, we both really enjoyed the food and the wine. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was fantastic.

Our group of 4 were made to feel very welcome upon arrival and whilst there wasn’t a cushion available to support my wife’s back as she has medical issues we were transferred to a more comfortable seat. I was surprised that dark rum was not available so made do with Havana Club instead. Our choice of starters were good but my wife’s fillet steak was not cooked as requested (medium) and was served rare. It was replaced without hesitation but due to the preparation time everyone else had eaten making it slightly awkward for my wife to eat hers alone. I must point out that the cost of her fillet was refunded but the circumstances did taint would should have been an excellent dining experience.

Excellent evening at Cote. Beautiful place, delicious food, great service ~ albeit a little rushed for taking our initial orders. We went out for my birthday and we received a lovely gesture of a glass of Kir for all our 4 guests ~ a very nice touch. We will definitely be returning.
