Fantastic venue, where you sit under under stone arches in part of the famous Chester Rows. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Very friendly welcome, great quality well priced food. Wide menu choice. The service was very efficient and attentive. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to any visitors to Chester.

Brilliant night, great food & wine. Lovely adult atmosphere & service. Will return. Sat upstairs at the rear and were very well looked after all evening. 12.5% (optional) service a bit intrusive for a party of two. But loved it.

We had a lovely lunch again at Côte Brasserie, Chester. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. We were made to feel very relaxed. A delight; Recommneded!

The service and food was fantastic, the restaurant was a little on the small side which meant all the tables were very close together so a private conversation with my partner on valentines was not possible. But, the food was that good we didn't want to talk about anything else :)

Had an amazing meal for valentines, set menu was great and was a real nice touch the wine to compliment the starter and main course. Steak was perfect, would definately recommend.

We really enjoyed the meal, atmosphere was good and the service excellent. The only drawback for me was the optional gratuity. For anyone that doesn’t know ( Cote owners and staff ) optional does not mean compulsory. As we weren’t asked whether we’d like to give a gratuity or not that’s exactly what happened.

Fantastic - from start to finish the food, staff and atmosphere was 1st class, all the staff we spoke to were knowledgeable, friendly and very good at their jobs, it made our whole evening perfect

Unbelievable customer service and great food. Got free drinks and olives because the food was 5 minutes later than expected, which was nice. Can’t thank the staff enough for a great night.

Best French meal I have had for over 40 years. Perfect French Onion Soup, Perfectly cooked Duck, superb sauce with excellent sea bass.Good service and splendid environment. Sadly a dozen diners were turned away whilst we were eating, so nook early. We will be back with friends

I had lunch at Cote with my sister, choosing the lunchtime menu at £11 for two courses. Everything about our experience was fantastic, from the welcome when we arrived to the moment we left. The food was excellent, the general ambience was lovely and it was really good value for money. The staff were friendly without being in the way, helpful and attentive. I have already recommended Cote to other people and I look forward to visiting again myself.

Overall a pleasant atmosphere and good service. However we were not happy at having to pay over £5 for bread and olives....it was offered as one dish and then charged separately as £2.50 and £2.80....far too much!!

Unfortunately our meals were a very long time appearing, although our charming waitress did come to apologise for the wait, which mainly accounts for the score. The 2 course lunch menu is very good value, -although I found my venison cottage pie rather over- herbed. The poule grille as always was well received, as was the chocolate mousse. Would definitly return another time.

This was our third time to cote in chester, the service was great the food is excellent the prices are really reasonable, the manager and his staff were great, we will be back.

Beautiful food and lovely waiting staff. Service was excellent, wine was good. It was valentines and was busy but it never felt like it. Would go again. Haddock was and the smoked salmon was divine

The staff in the Chester branch were very good at dealing with the allergies and intolerances in our party, they were accommodating and helpful. The allergen guide was lacking specifics however, whixh was a problem when trying to adapt dishes, and the deserts menu limited to fruit or lemon sorbet, though with more warning they did say they may have found us other options. My only criticism of the actual food was that all the dishes were very salty, there was a lack of veg and the salad was water cress covered in large salt flakes.

Great location for us when we stay in Chester. Very welcoming staff and excellent food. Our table was ready for our arrival and service was excellant

The food was fantastic and they have a really extensive gluten free menu, you really dont feel youre missing out on anything. The staff were lovely too.

All three of us enjoyed both our main course and dessert. The service was efficient and friendly, we are planning to return the next time we visit Chester.

We were celebrating my wife's birthday and had a really nice time. Attention was excellent and food as always outstanding. Definitely coming back as soon as we can.

We enjoyed the evening, service, ambiance and 2 mains were enjoyable. Unfortunately, one of my party had salmon which she said was very garlicky and she mentioned to me that it affected her stomach the next day. Thought you would want to know, so you can address for future diners.

Second birthday trip to Chester and based on a previous visit Cote Brasserie was our first port of call. Great service and wonderful food ensured that we had another great night out. Consistently good on all levels which is generally hard to find nowadays- Thanks Cote Chester.

Superb, efficient and friendly staff. Food always reliably good and atmosphere buzzy. Prefer dining upstairs as we did. . On this occasion , the potato in my fish dish was too salty, but anything not to ones taste is very rare. Roquefort salad and Creme brûlée both fabulous. Tables quite close together in some areas of restaurant so that loud opinionated neighbours can be a bit of a pain but that is part of lottery of dining out. Excellent venue all round !

Had lunch with a group of ex work colleagues. We had great service, great food, great choice and terrific value for money. Highly recommended for a very tasty lunch in comfortable surroundings.

a most enjoyable experience the 12.5% service charge did not go down too well as it includes all soft and alcoholic drinks which makes those items really expensive.I think we would refuse this charge in any future visits and pay a more realistic service gratuity.
