Friendly staff, great food and good atmosphere.. very enjoyable. We had the pre theatre menu which was very good value. We had booked luckily as the queue to get in was huge.
Always enjoy a visit to this restaurant. However, despite being very quiet, the service was poor. Haphazard, testing, shabby and hardworking. Disappointing. Not the usual standard
Ate after watching a show at nearby theatre. Took in excess of 30 minutes to get 2 plates rapide which seems rather ironic. Brasserie was not busy at the time. My butterfly chicken breast definitely had the texture of a dish that had been lying under the hot lamps, then had a fresh sauce and chips applied. Other than that the service was good and attentive. I would certainly use this Cote again if in that area of theatre land
Although we had booked, we did have to wait 15 mins for our table. Very busy! However, we were given a Kir while waiting and, when seated, bi th food and service were excellent. Crewe brûlée was divine!
Very enjoyable early evening dinner. When the restaurant is full it's quite noisy and the tables are placed very close together, but the food is consistently good.
Food always good at Cote and staff always very friendly. This location is very good for Covent Garden and several theatres. Service very quick despite being very busy.
Crowded place - but loads of pre theatre atmosphere. Cheerful and attentive service plus the usual Cote consistency with food production. Nice glass of house Rhone - benefitted from good turnover I would expect. Fruity and not stale. Pre theatre menu excellent and tasty and swift. Will go again.
Booked for 5.15pm but got there at 5.00pm. We had the 3 course pre theatre menu which had plenty of choice for £13.95. We didn't feel rushed at all and service was very efficient. We left at 6.45pm and the place was full with more queuing for a table. Very enjoyable and Beautiful at the Aldwych theatre was brilliant.
Great food and most attentive service... we had our per-theater meal set and it was delicious! Even though it was a full house, the food came along very quickly and within an hour, we were off the doors - straight to Lion King! We will return even if we are not catching a show!
Loved it, great service and amazing food at a great price! The food came super quick and although they messed up one of the dishes (gave us the wrong one) they quickly corrected their mistake and brought the right dish.
Staff were polite and helpful in a very busy restaurant. Food and service were extremely good. Perfect before seeing a show. Very good value for money. Thank you
Nice food and nice environment in a good location. The waiting staff were a little less impressive with only one exception. We had a lovely evening and would return due to the central location.
An enjoyable breakfast with friends before hitting the town. Very good service and price. We didn't feel at all rushed and the atmosphere was great
Excellent meal and value. Very busy pre-theatre and we were late for our meal but the waiting staff were marvellous and managed to seat us and serve us in good time! thank you.
The food was very tasty but service was disappointingly slow and clumsy. Also, the restaurant was very loud at lunchtime. I would recommend it nethertheless for a business lunch or a get together with friends.
Busy restaurant but service efficient and quick. All staff were very polite. No complaints on the food front. Dark chocolate moose is heaven in a bowl.
Visiting my second Cote bistro in a week. Place was full prior to evening theatre time, but service was quick(not rushed), friendly efficient staff. Food was good, hot and well presented. Will be back on November for a celebration with friends. Highly recommend this Cote bistro. Gary and Agnes
The food was nicely prepared, though under-seasoned, and services was prompt for a pre-theatre meal. Cote offers a reliable good product, at times quite good, always better than average.
Service excellent. Poached egg on starter could have been hot not cold. Staff very friendly. Have been there several times. It was my husband's birthday.
Food very average - chaotic service pre theatre period - basic plate of food to protect profit margins - little finesse need to increase the all inclusive price to give more substantial food - a steak with just chips is hardly exciting and filing
Good value for money. Always good quality food. Buzzy lively atmosphere. The 1/2 a roast chicken is excellent and so are the pomme frites. A good reliable family favourite
Restaurant busy and we had to ask for our order to be taken. When steaks and frites eventually arrived the food wasn't hot. We were going to theatre so no time to complain! Not the usual Cote experience-disappointing!
We ate there after a matinee. The place was buzzing - great atmosphere. Great service. Only reason I'm not giving full marks is they had run out of Sauvignon Blanc - can you imagine!!!
The food was excellent and the service very good. I will go again soon! The restaurant is very close t Covent garden and all its facilties.
Very efficient service and delicious food. Location is very convenient. Menu choice is ample. Staff very friendly and helpful. You need to book or you might miss out.
Good service and food The initial welcome was however poor Our waiter was excellent very attentive with all his customers He would do the managers job with ease
Great food and outstanding service. We try and have dinner here every time we get to London from the US. Hasn't ever disappointed us. Good for pre-theatre as well.
We really enjoyed it, the staff were very friendly. The food was very good for the price! We had the Pre-Theatre menu, 3 courses and very good value for money, considering that you are in Covent Garden. It was very busy in the restaurant and we were served in one hour so very efficient.
Excellent breakfast - the French toast and fruit salad sounded an odd combination but worked well. Service good but restaurant very quiet. Air conditioning a bit high but otherwise good and would use for breakfast again.
Nice restaurant & good staff. Friendly welcome at the door and food was lovely. Will definitely be going back for another meal. Good location in covent garden
Wonderful ambiance great food excellent services fantastic value The ideal way to start a theatre evening the set menu was excellent Highly recommended Thanks guys
Fabulous food and greet service. Best to book a table at all times as it is very popular. Very affordable as well. Good selection of wines.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch here last week. Had the set menu which is very reasonably priced for both the 2 course and 3 course option. I had the steak frites which was very good and the chocolate mousse was amazing! Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a great experience!
The quality of the food on the special pre-theatre menu was not quite up to the usual standard. I had the haddock which had a slightly strange flavour. Starter was good.
The service was extremely slow. We went for a pre theatre meal and waited for about 40 minutes until our starter turned up and this was only after 2 requests to 2 different members of staff. This was the second time in 3 months that this had happened. On the previous occasion one of our main courses was cold and we refused to pay for it at which point the duty manager cancelled the whole bill. The other visit was perfect so it's a bit hit and miss
A lovely meal as usual. We had a table for two booked, but even though the restuarant was very busy, they put themselves out to find a larger table, so our friends could join us. First class service.
Fast service in a busy location. Smiley, friendly waitress. Excellent food. We arrived early and we were seated with no problem. Ideal for theatre land.
Busy here pre theatre but as usual service was impeccable, 3 course menu for £13.95 was exceptionally good , glass wine to accompany completed our lovely lunch today .
We ate off the lunch fixed price menu which is good value for money. Two of us had the Pissaladière Camembert which they said was good but would have liked a tiny bit more camembert on it. I had smoked mackerel which was delicious and would have again. For mains 1 of us had cod gourjons which looked really nice, two of us almost had food envy. She said they were really fresh and not greasy at all. We had steak frites. The steak was cooked really well. But if you’d like some greens or salad I’d recommend ordering a side or 2 between you. For desserts we had berries with white chocolate sauce, crème caramel and apple crumble and all were yummy. Service was also very good. I have been to the restaurant before but my two guests had not and were very impressed and would make a return visit.
The starters were very good, the main courses came a little too early after the starters but were very tasty and service very good. As usual the white wine was not cold
Had a lovely meal here again after seeing a show. It's the 4th time I've eaten here and I've never been disappointed. Would highly recommend
Got order wrong,so couldn't eat all together initially .Food great, but atmosphere not good, when busy very noisy.Have been to other Cotes with better staff and ambience.
The service was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. My mum loved the fact you had a separate vegetarian menu. Definately try the Creme Caramel, it is amazing!
Pre-theatre meal good value for £13.95 for three courses. Good choice of menu options, food and service good. Booking ahead on line saves hassle of finding restaurant near theatre.
Great choice of food even on the set menu, Reasonavly priced wine, very good wine. Fabulous good, fantastic service & they didn't mind us being here for hours!!!
Good and efficient service and food is reasonable for the price. The starter needs more imagination. But dessert is always good. Always very busy, so it's better to book a table.
I have been a regular visitor to this branch of cote, it is conveniently situated close to all the theatre's in the strand and practically opposite The Theatre Royal Drury Lane. As always both the food and service were excellent, and although extremely busy the food came promptly and was delicious.
Good price for pre-theatre menu. Food was excellent. Only downside was the queue to get in (even with a reservation) - the queue was in a crowded area near the door and into the street. But overall very good, with efficient service.
Once again it was a wonderful experience-food was great, service was excellent and friendly. I would rate it above 6 if I could - I will be back again!!
Stunning experience What an amazing time myself and friends had on Saturday evening, beautiful food, amazing service and a relaxed and vibrant ambience. The staff went the extra mile to make this meal a lovely experience and the professionalism was second to none. Will come again very soon.
